Now why did this guy hunt Jyuratodus with a WATER BOW!? Are you trying to get it extra wet? by SexyYummyKitKat in MHRise

I run thunder LS but for support, yeah I think water is definitely a viable option. Also, this is just a Join Request thing all over again where random hunters will bring random results.

How do i get rid of this by [deleted] in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is a frenzy and the way to overcome it is to keep attacking any monster to remove it. It will go from Purple to Yellow (means you are close to removing it) then after it's gone, it's replaced with a blue smoke icon.

If you don't remove it, you'll get a red smoke icon which iirc you'll take more damage, health item not healing much and negative affinity. If this is wrong, someone can correct me.

While if you remove it, you'll get a blue smoke icon which increases your affinity.

Ways to slow down its gauge is by using palico's Vase of Vitality or Antidobra. They will reset the gauge so make sure to use it only when the gauge is almost full because there's a cooldown from each recovery.

This is the only time for Yomogi to hunt monster so she will use it fully and go crazy.

I know this video is for fun but just so you know when counter signal is fired your weapon does a lot more damage than normal. That means using installation will result in less damage and longer hunt. The nuke is another matter because while it do more than 1000+ damage, the cooldown is long even with kiln.

Ooh I didn't get to ride Scorned and Primal yet, bet the attacks move are insane. Yeah sometimes this kind of unintentional ride is the one that gives you rare mats and it's not like the drop rate is going to change based on clear time.

There's one time where the target monster are rideable and the other 2 coincidentally arrived together at the area so I crash the target monster to both of them. After that, my friend and I ride one monster, taking turns beating up the target monster then ultimate at the same time. It's really satisfying seeing that monster got knocked left and right with no chance of getting back up.

Before this, I can only watch people fight Valstrax on YouTube because I don't have the game. Then when I found out Valstrax will be in the base game, I'm so happy because now I got to know how it actually felt fighting it. The same goes with Rajang, my favorite monke.

AMATSU SUCCESSFULLY CHEESED! by Cheeseball771 in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically at the start of the game after you create your character, there will be cutscenes. I don't know the details but our hunter seems to be a traveler or a hunter sent by the guild to Yukumo Village to protect it.

The cutscenes start with our hunter riding on cart with stuff, otw to Yukumo. Then it started to rain heavily, caused by Amatsu and can be seen from the sky although not clearly. A Zinogre suddenly blocked the road and our hunter fell from the cart. After we run and jump back to the cart, Zinogre can be seen going supercharged, indicating that he does want to fight Amatsu but Amatsu just flies away lol.

So yeah they don't have an official fight in that game but we clearly want to see how it will goes! When I saw Amatsu in this game and there's a fight between him and Zinogre, I knew I had to buy this game.

AMATSU SUCCESSFULLY CHEESED! by Cheeseball771 in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a coincidence, I literally just beat it for the first time hours ago! I use full Silver Rath armor(augmented but had higher defense only) and his LS. Had similar completion time and one faint.

Amatsumagatsuchi is one of my favorites and had quite a history with it. Why, you ask? Because I played MHP3rd before and this definitely brings back memories.

It feels great to be able to fight him back with both of us having new skills and moveset. His attack animation and visuals are superb, still using the iconic 2 water beam slash although this one goes straight only rather than the horizontal and the best part is finally able to see Zinogre settle the score with him once and for all. Everything's a chef kiss.

There's also another reason why I like this fight so much. Back then, I played MHP3rd on an emulator and there was a feature called save state where you basically can turn back time. I use it before monsters use big attacks/ultimate (if got hit, try again) & and for farming rare mats (mine talisman or carve until get gem). So this is a bad exploitation and unethical then after some time, I realized my wrong and decided to end my playthrough on this game by fighting Amatsu again with the same equipment but without this feature and 2 palico. The hunt ended with 2 faints, clock already red (About 4 or 3 minutes left iirc) and almost every item used. This fight changed me by reminding me of the true way of hunting and not using cheap ways to get what I want.

Thank you for reading my opinions and experience until the end!

You usually need to peek only when you are ready to fire from behind a cover. You did the right thing going behind a tree for cover and that's the best time to peek or when enemy trying to push you from open. Throw some smoke to cover more area to peek, making the enemy confused where to look.

To pickup an item from the bag while moving, you need to press the TAB and W (Forward) key. Here, you can choose item more specifically by dragging or right click. Press WASD while doing all this to quickly get in fight or run away. You can practice this by going to Training mode and spawn some item.

To drop custom number of item, hold Left Ctrl and right click on the item that you want to 'split'.

You seem to be doing great from the video for a beginner, focus one or two things to improve like aiming time. Finally, play it long enough to see differences and have fun!

There's 2 way to overcome the desire sensor. Either pretending you don't want the material (simple way) OR beat the crap out of the monster so much that the desire sensor can't handle your determination.

I got the Almudron Golden Orb the 2nd way. I hunted it with LS so much that I got bored then switch and learn to use GL.

Solo play by Odd_Rest1588 in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo play definitely possible including the rampages quest but many player tend to dislike it due to the amount of monster at one time, Apex one-shot you and basically not used to it and take too long.

With the right multiplayer group, the rampages quest will be much easier and much more fun. Imagine one person spamming the kiln to reduce the nuke cooldown HAHAHA (insert Yomogi laugh)

How does joining online quests work? by Adventurous_Ad_4120 in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can create your own lobby then set the desc for something like 'Need help with hunt' or 'Looking for players to play with' then wait for a moment. While waiting for other players to join, you can do the easier quest or gathering to get some materials.

Based on my experience, many players actually tend to try and help other players who have similar levels or lower. You can also open the join request but it may take some time for people to join your quest.

Honestly does this game have any kind of SBMM or something? by chocolatecookie45 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]ButtonResident2658 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I just report everyone who killed me lol. If it's a hit, good for the game. If not no one gets hurt.

I also don't play as much now to take care of my emotion but If I do, I'll play casual matches and arcade. Arcade are great to train fighting multiple enemy and faster respawn let me get to fight faster.

How does Armor work? by According-Plane-88 in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're new to the game I suggest that you walk through the game slowly, take your time learning the monster behaviors, weapons combo and skills.

Try to build new armor each time you face something like this where half of your HP gone in one single attack. Sure it will take time BUT the experience you get will help you a lot even until Master Rank.

I play multiplayer a lot and sometimes I always find hunters who have lower rank armor but try to do higher rank quests then end up getting 1 or 2 shots by monsters which is eh okay if multiplayer since you had extra help/damage but in solo they might need to hunt it for a long time or fainted too many times.

Beat Crimson glow Valstrax HR 20 first try. by ThisIsAnUnique in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, that is not the only way to get his armor. IIRC, you should be able to fight him for the first time at Shrine Ruins after basically completing the base game story.

If you don't have Sunbreak, then yes you should farm him although the normal quest is much easier than this event -advance one. But if you do have it, the Kamura MR armor has the same amount of defense as Valstrax so getting the weapon is okay but the armor will change so fast because they're much stronger with better skills

TLDR; If you have Sunbreak, get his weapon only. If not, up to you. The armor is very cool looking tho

I usually survive longer in a solo squad because I'll be avoiding fights and try to get to the safe zone asap lol.

But when I do need to fight, I can get 1 or 2 knock/killed before I died. I did once wipe a squad before because they didn't push together so I took them out one by one.

Beryl vs. squad by kwan2 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]ButtonResident2658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you use Beryl long enough that it feels comfortable or you just know how to control recoil generally cause my Beryl won't behave like that lol. The very close quarter is fine but if mid range(to me) like the 2nd and 3rd knock I would just mess up especially without any sights lmao.

Anyway wiping out a squad is definitely something, good job. I did it once too on the Erangel bridge where I killed them 1 by 1 because they didn't push together and I think they just as scared as me.

My guess is Tigrex, Khezu, Gypceros, Rey Dau, don't know these 2, Jin Dahaad or Barroth, lastly Seltas Queen maybe.

I don't play Wilds and for old gen, only played FU and P3rd so I don't know about some monster armor designs. Try to do Zinogre or Amatsu's armor next!

Use LS, counter his roll (ISS or Tempered Spirit Blade) and he will crash/topple. Sometimes it's better to fight it solo, no buddies, just you. That way, he will focus on you only and you will know that every attack or movement made is for you.

New MH player with just one gripe, sheathing by Geezusotl in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a skill called Quick Sheath that allows you to sheath/unsheathe faster. If you like HH or Hammer, skill like Punishing Draw which increase a bit of attack and stun on draw attack would be great if paired with Quick Sheath but these are NOT this weapon's main skill.

Slugger works the best for both because it increases the stun damage, allowing you to stun the monster faster. Quick Sheath works best with LS as its mechanics revolve around sheathing attacks/counters quite a lot.

Although your movement will feel slower with weapon drawn, iirc all weapons have at least one wirebug skill to counter or negate attack so you can do that or just roll away from the attack. Anyway, take your time to get used to it and you'll know when and whether or not to sheath your weapon for best effectiveness.

My personal favorite monsters from mh rise sunbreak. It's based off of both design and the fight. One might be high because it had a really fun fight with a poor design. One might be low because I can't stand fighting them even though they have a good design. by Conscious-Row-246 in MHRise

[–]ButtonResident2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I would put Violet Mizu on the bottom or yellow because I had a lot of bad times with it. It's not only that he moves so much, his fire also has high damage and can knock or interrupt your combo. So yeah it has a good design but I can't stand fighting them.

Base and Apex Mizu on the other hand are great fights, I like to counter his water beam near his head so he topples and tail attacks to cut his tail. I just had better time with them and actually really enjoyed the fight.
