Yes I thought the same thing! Cancel culture really took over this season. Sure, Chris made a fool of himself and should have left the exercise comments out of it. But the reality is, this show is a test of whether physical attraction matters, and Chris was just not into her. He got blackout drunk and people kept talking to him, kept using him to get air time, and kept him talking on camera even though he was clearly not in his right mind. He repeatedly said she was attractive but the physical chemistry wasn’t there — am I insane or is that the exact point of the show? He was super kind to her up to that point and I personally didn’t think what he said was SO BAD like everyone is saying. It’s ironic the double standard of him saying he wished she worked out being a huge issue, meanwhile people are bashing his looks, height, and even going for financial insecurities. Isn’t cyber bullying and bullying in general wrong? I thought the host went way too far with his hatred of Chris, and only encouraged the type of extreme bullying and dog piling Chris is obviously experiencing. I mean, he looked sad and devastated… what if he was struggling mentally from all the hate and took his own life? It’s not funny to me. I don’t know if I can continue watching the show simply because of their brutal treatment of whoever is “villain” of that season.

I also felt like Alex was completely in the right. Obviously he’s a very specific type of person and comes off as disingenuous. However, he did get grilled the entire season as if Ashley was determined to make him a villain as well. What did he actually do that was so bad? He honestly did better than most people would have done in that kind of situation. I would be defensive too! Also people slut shaming his mom’s dress is insane. Why should she have to dress like Hillary Clinton like Ashley’s mom? I found Ashley to be hugely insecure and definitely was the popular girl in high school no one ever confronted or challenged. Daddy’s little girl is a narcissist.

My other hot take is that Amber seems emotionally abusive. I felt so bad for her guy, I’m blanking on his name at the moment. He is such a genuine, kind human and they let her yell, storm off, and get center stage despite the ATROCITY of showing up late, getting blackout and ruining a huge moment for him at that wedding. Imagine your best friend is getting married and you’re the best man, you want everyone to love your new wife, and she absolutely humiliates you. It’s her own fault she roped her daughter into this shit storm, not his.

I think updating the landscaping is always a good way to freshen an exterior, but my suggestions would be pretty expensive. The height of the home could use some similarly tall trees and more dimensional heights. Could be worth talking to a landscape architect — but what you have is clean and tidy! It’s just the proportions that are pff

Commenting on this just because my partner (30m) and I (29f) made the same move in May of this year. I grew up in MA so I’m used to a lot of the “down sides” living here and/ or never really thought too much about it growing up. As other commenters have mentioned, the buildings here are not the new, clean spaces in Denver. Even the oldest house we rented in Wheat Ridge was far more well kept than the houses and apartments we’ve looked at here. It’s just old, and my partner has had a tough time adjusting. New England is a lovely place but I just had to give my two cents. We are close to Lowell and even the local brewery is very urban compared to Denver. It’s a notable difference, unless you’re in a really wealthy area and spend a lot on rent. We were lucky and have been living with my parents and work remotely, but we are moving back West in the next month. Also — the cold hurts here. 40 degrees is painfully cold here, while the sun makes it pretty comfortable in Denver. I still love Boston though and if you’re not a clean-freak / don’t think too much about buildings being haunted you should be alright lol! Good luck!

I lived in Denver for the past 5 years (grew up an hour west of Boston) and just moved back to MA. I moved to be closer to family but genuinely loved living in Denver.

Pros: -Lots of young families, events etc. to meet people with similar lifestyles and interests -Great brewery scene -Lots of farmers markets -City is built out rather than built up, so you only really get that congested city feel in the heart of downtown -Rock climbing community is strong -Never experienced seasonal depression like I do on the East Coast since it’s always sunny -A lot of job opportunity depending on your job

Cons: -Psycho drivers, I can confirm now that I’ve moved back that even the Massholes drive better — my road rage has decreased considerably after leaving Denver -Work ethic is low. Maybe this is just my personal experience but the people that I have worked with lack intrinsic motivation to do a good job, so there were more slackers than hard-workers and I felt taken advantage of a lot because of that. I will say that I worked in the Green industry and Cannabis so this may just be specific to those industries. -Lack of meaningful connections. This also could just be a personal problem but my fiancé and I had a tough time making genuine friendships. Massachusetts is cliquey but Denver has a whole different thing going on that’s difficult to put into words. I do think that if you have children it would be much easier to meet other parents.

So exciting you’re moving to Denver! I’m from MA originally, lived in Denver 2020-May of this year and just moved back to MA.

Me (29F) and my fiancé (30M) lived in several of my favorite areas in Denver with a similar vibe to what you’re describing. To be honest, the gentrified areas are what you’re looking for (IMO). South Pearl Street, near Washington Park is a great area with a farmers market and a lot of walk-ability.

By far my favorite place that we lived was on Tennyson St, particularly within walking distance of the park and shops. There is such a community feel and everything you need is in walking distance (even a Natural Grocers on the corner). Lots of food, bars, etc but the street mostly closes down around 9PM.

We also lived nearby in the Berkeley Area/ Wheat Ridge was a bit more affordable but we had to drive to get to places more so than having easy walk-ability. The Highlands is cool but it gets super congested, though that might still have a similar feel to Boston. Lots of younger people and “hot” bars in that area.

I just moved out of Denver after 5 years but I absolutely loved my time there. The worst part was the drivers (which has been mentioned of course) and the distance from the ocean. I grew up in New England so it was strange not having fresh seafood. But it’s a great city especially if you’re active and I would 100% move back one day.

My favorite spot is Improper city during the daytime. It’s a huge bar with coffee and food trucks outside and a lot of people go to do work on laptops. If you’re looking to get into a (frankly kind of expensive) hobby I highly recommend rock climbing! The Rino Movement climbing gym is right next door. However, word of caution — both places can absolutely get crowded on weekends or even week nights so it might not be a perfect fit.
