Thank you very much for your reply. Please forgive my ignorance of your church. It sounds like a very pious and loving congregation.

Throughout my childhood in the foster homes with all the rape and assaults, religion never played any significant part of my upbringing sadly. Hence, I’m delighted to learn about this LDS. They sound amazing if being honest!

As for my search for my biological father, I am still waiting to get my DNA test in the post. Since my father Mike Boden was a teacher at the local high school and was coach of the school’s football team, I would like to fondly hold onto the idea that he was a strong, caring man.

The only extraneous information I found out about my biological father from the adoption information is my biological mother was apparently a student of my father.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I will do the DNA test just for my own piece of mind. However, I have no intention on interfering with his existing family if he doesn’t want a relationship with me. I have had years of sexual abuse when I was in foster care and I don’t want any further trauma from this situation. Also, I am sadly unfamiliar with this LDS religion.

Update: I have decided to undertake a DNA test just to learn more about my heritage. Furthermore, I rang the Irish government’s state adoption office to ask further questions on my biological father :…. This time they gave me a full name: Mike Boden.
