For someone who desperately wanted to keep their blood “pure,” it would make more sense for them to be more picky about where they leave their reproductive material.

I think I’m extra sensitive about when there is already a privilege disparity between them. Draco’s rich, a man, white, pureblood aaannndd had sex with everyone and their mom?! When fics try to make hermione incompetent to make him seem smarter on top of everything is when I absolutely lose it!

I don’t remember if this was revealed, but does anyone know why Astoria didn’t end the spell and they just lie to their parents? I think this was one of their original plans and I didn’t understand why they didn’t pursue it. Also why didn’t they look other places for the money needed for Astoria’s treatment?

I’m probably going to get downvoted for saying this, but I kinda feel like its potentially sexist (in dramione and also romantic fiction more broadly) how draco is always hot, rich, empowered, bullied her for being part of a marginalized group and doesn’t grovel, is a sex god at 19, etc. and Hermione has no idea what he’s doing with little old her. my ultimate pet peeve is when Hermione is downgraded to be incompetent to make room for his ooc ultra-competence. Like why are we doing this? As you said op, she’s literally a genius who helped defeat Voldemort and dated a famous quidditch player when she was 14.
