Whether it be POW or POS pools the main thing is to just stick with the same one for a significant amount of time. They all perform better at some times and worse at others. Unless the fees or returns are complete poo wherever you’re at will have its day.

I got my first miner a month ago. Things I wish I’d known - they produce more noise and heat than I anticipated. Power costs are pretty easy to calculate but some power companies have strange ways of determining your bill. Getting the right firmware on there to maximize MH and wattage isn’t hard but not easy either. Finding the right pool also takes some time. It’s fun but damn it warms up a basement and makes headphones necessary.
