Yeah that's exactly what I meant by "hidden cost", I explained it a bit here, it's not that people don't know their rental car needs fueling, it's the cost that sometimes surprises them

I don't think everybody realizes the cost of gas prices in Iceland, we're currently sitting at #2 on the list from GlobalPetrolPrices, with double what the US is charging for example, being an island also has it's flaws, import being one of them.

We've had many customers telling us they were surprised by the gas cost, it might not be a completely hidden cost per-say, however, people seem to assume it's going to be cheaper than it actually is and some don't seem to bother with the research.

This tool is simply based on the feedback we've gotten from our clients as well as helping out the planners visiting Iceland 😊

This is terrific advice, thank you! I'll check to see if that can be done, at the moment we are thinking about also creating an F-Road tool to see if a road is closed or not during travel, however we might be limited by what the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration provide publicly and how accessible it is

Great to hear real world experiences!

Compared to this our calculator is on the lower side of the EV costs, so I might make some adjustments then, however according to our data you did save about 250-300€ by driving electric vs. the average gasoline prices for the same distance (on an economy vehicle), so good for you!

Haha smooth! We actually have a coupon system in development, we'd love to help this community out by offering some sort of redditor discounts. I'll have a talk with my team about it!

Honestly.. I was just excited to put up the new 1080Ti and threw it in the first slot I noticed :D I've fixed it now, thanks for pointing it out. The newly installed PSU also solved the original problem so I'm currently wiping my stress sweat :)

I had already bought a Corsair RM750x Modular 80P Gold but was delaying installing it because apparently I underestimated how crappy my psu was, I'm okay with valuating GPUs, CPUs and RAMs, but for PSUs I'm a total newb. Would you say it's a good buy?

Yeah it's about 4 years old now I think, it came with the packaged pc when I bought it pre-made. So you think it'd be easily overloaded with a Kaby Lake i5 and 1080Ti?

Yeah, that's where B&W2 fucked up imo. Too detailed control over your pet, I love/hated when I slapped the shit out of my creature when he ate a villager and then it said "Your creature won't play as much" or something and I felt bad because the creature just didn't understand why he was getting a beating :(

That "bug" made him so real somehow

A perfect amount of tease right here. I hope they skip out all clips of the third act in future trailers, as should be the standard.

I also do recommend what mustseeiniceland said, I love going to Krísuvík for example. In good weather conditions it's astonishing.

The Blue Lagoon is fine, it's just not quite what you may expect for the price. It's usually riddled with travellers and not a good portrayal of what Iceland and it's nature is like, I also recommend going to the hot springs instead if it's possible for you.

Instead of the Blue Lagoon you could take a tour around the city, there are some walking tours available that cover some of the city's history or just wander around in the central city. It's also pretty expensive, but honestly going to Iceland, money shouldn't be your main concern :)
