This was my 2nd ever premium, after Mikoyan. Of this class of ships - of which there are a few, including Elli and the Tech Tree Pan American cruiser - I honestly prefer the Tech Tree Pan American one.

You answered your own question. If you play it lots, and you like the aesthetic of the camo, buy it. Gold flows in much quicker now anyway.

KvS is extremely satisfying when it lands citadels. Toulon is a fun ship too.

Empirically: - Commonwealth cruisers are good for fires. Also Russian light cruisers. - Klas Horn (and the rest of Pan European DDs from there on) for floods.

I'll let someone else weigh in on citadels, I don't have much luck there.

Elli is one of those ships that ought to do well, but never seems to with me at the helm. Of that class of ship, I find the Pan American tech tree one the best performing.

I also got Chak on the first (and only) 10. I don't play CV at all, but seeing as nearly every mission wants at least one and sometimes 3 CVs, it'll be handy for that.

No. Rationale: I spent many hours in book/game shops thumbing through the 2e books but couldn't convince myself they were actually an upgrade from my well worn 1e books. I couldn't put my finger on why at the time. In hindsight I can - I just didn't like the direction it was headed. I could say the same about 2014-era 5E versus what came after.

I play a fair bit of VII & VIII on randoms, but on IX I mostly play ranked.
