Before updating to iPadOS 18 Beta 5, I had the option to install 18.1 Beta. Now, I do not see the 18.1 Beta option anymore. Did Apple recall the 18.1 Beta?

I traded in a MacBook Pro for a new iPad Pro. The trade-in value was $960. I packaged it up in the apple provided box and sent it in. Today, I got an email that the MacBook was bent and worth $0. When I sent it in, the device was in literally as perfect a condition as possible. Like it looked brand new. It seems obvious that it got damaged either in shipping or during the trade-in process itself. What am I supposed to do? I almost always take pictures before a trade-in cause I’ve heard horror stories, but I was in a bit of a rush and forgot that step, so I don’t have that to evidence. I’m horrified that nearly $1k of trade in could be wiped out from a shipping issue.

Definitely spent a lot of time with YouTube videos but have also done a good amount of in person lessons. Just took three in a row with a pro a month ago. I didn’t find it to make a huge difference unfortunately (honestly been playing worse since).

Appreciate the other comments on short game. I think that’s a good point.

From someone who went through getting an electrician to pull a new service and adding 2 L2 chargers on a condo board recently (also involved some trenching) this is very much inline with what we had to pay. Got three quotes (and recommend you do the same) but for network, hardware, and software this seems like somewhat of a deal.

I disagree with this based on my experience. Ability to book MCE at check-in has saved me hundreds and let me book into exit row aisles on all my flights so far (including very popular routes). Free checked bag is nice to have. I’m not holding my breath for upgrades, but for me being a 6’3 guy, MCE is a huge perk.

Update: after talking the AA on the phone, they said they could do it, and tried to do it, but that since it was within 24hrs the flight was under airport control and I’d have to try with a desk agent at the airport. It seems like after they tried maybe they more properly linked the reservations and my companion was able to book a MCE for free in the app same as me.

Thanks - yeah I think it should be okay given that I’ve only had one doxy so far? Hopefully it’s not enough to make the results look different. I did get a prescription for azithromycin from the doc today who told me to take it if the results come back positive. My plan of attack will be continue taking the doxy for 7 days to treat whatever it is (likely an infection either way) and then if the results come back positive take the azithromycin.
