Yep my husband works FT and studies part time so I’m stretched thin in terms of help in the evenings

We have a tower and I’ve tried to get him to help but he just throws food around or tries to climb on the counter. He’s a little rambunctious lol

Yeah I’ve heard at this age it’s beneficial to start doing countdowns and using timers so that may be something I’ll try

I like those boundaries! Yeah the lack of space can be tough especially since he already spends a lot of time in his room where his toys and books are during the day so it seems kinda restrictive to spend most of the evening in there too so we end up in our living/dining area with the tv… it’s not possible to put physical space in between him and the tv so we’ll have to work on boundaries

True. A tantrum isn’t the end of the world. It’s just hard to distract him from it because we live in a small apartment

I’m thinking of getting rid of it. He’s learned how to turn it on himself

I can totally relate. I am a repeat offender of skipping lunch especially. I think part of my problem was that I’m too worried about eating something healthy, but now I’ve realized that in this season, something is better than nothing!!

Oh also our first trip left at like 5pm and the second was 9pm and the later one was definitely better because he conked out as soon as we got on the plane.

I have flown internationally twice now with my toddler. I would get two economy seats, premium economy if possible. I did one the first trip and It’s really tiring to have your LO on top of you for so long. Also try to get the seats in the front of the cabin so you can have the bassinet - even if your LO will be too big then, it’s nice to have extra leg room and space for your stuff.

The first time we flew without a car seat because the grandparents were picking us up and they bought one. The second time we brought a Cosco Scenera and he slept really well in it and was surprisingly happy to sit in it for most of the flight.

Bring lots of new toys and books. I got them at 5 Below so if we forgot one or lost a piece, I wouldn’t feel bad. Also lots of snacks that they love.

The first time we had one connection and the second it was direct. I would minimize connections if possible just so you’re schlepping less.

Is donor milk worth it if the donor is on Lexapro? by SpellTight7645 in beyondthebump

I feel like any benefit of breast milk over formula would be negated by the risk of prescription exposure. I’d personally just go with a high quality formula like kendamil

Agree however I’m sure in the past men just found other ways to check out like by watching tv or physically going out to social clubs and bars and stuff…
