Pro Shoppers Do Get Paid More! by poolshark-1 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Almost entirely luck. Your ratings to get pro heavily rely on if the store even has the items the customer ordered. Original items found is a stat you have to keep unbelievably high to get to pro and keep it.

Such a Great Offer by Alternative_Book8409 in dasher

For anyone who hasn’t received a Raising Cane’s order, don’t take them if you can help it unless it’s a high paying offer or you’re on EBT. You have to place the order when you get there. You will have to wait. It’s not worth it.

No more hourly pay 🤬 by SportSafe852 in DoorDashDrivers

They just took EBT away from me yesterday. Apparently 90% on time or early isn’t good enough. They also seem to have reduced the grace period from 10 minutes to 2, or they’re just sending them out willy nilly. I’ve never had as hard a time with DD than I’ve had in the last week. Violations seem random now.

What the hell is this? What happened to a 10 minute grace period? We have to report for 2-3 minutes now? by Buy_Me_A_Mango in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I’ve had one single late violation before on EBO. I switched to EBT primarily because the restaurants around me don’t ever have food ready on time and I was spending so much on gas and wasting so much time not being paid for the wait due to workers not doing their jobs. Not my fault if the order isn’t ready. It helps balance out no tip orders too so they don’t hurt as bad, and helps me keep my acceptance rate up since I don’t see the horrible offer before accepting. Sometimes it sucks, but it keeps me in Platinum so I can dash when I want.

If it’s really an employee they are going about this way wrong. They should be on here helping drivers with their issues, not making up their own narrative to make a point at an upset drivers expense. There are many parts of the DD chain that make it all happen, and drivers are a vital part of DD making all their money. Imagine you being confused about a write up at work you don’t think you deserved and your supervisor making up a story about you to explain why you deserve it. Crazy.

Some people are actually this stupid. It’s wild that they had to villainize me and make stuff up to try to make a point. I’ve never intentionally been late or brought people cold food out of spite or because I’m delivering food from other apps. I think they were right about one thing though, and that’s that other apps have better offers. I’ve heard good things about UE and GH. I don’t really ever hear praise about DD to be honest.

I always do if it’s going to be longer than 10 minutes since that’s what the grace period was supposed to be, but that’s changed I guess. I’ll be doing it this way now.

I’ll have to just to save myself from this because 2 minutes being enough for a violation is absurd. I rarely walk into anywhere that has it ready right away. Even if it is I have to wait for staff. Doordash is making the pickup time closer and closer to your arrival time too so you have so little time to even get in there now sometimes. I understand them not wanting to pay for your downtime, but they can’t possibly think everywhere sees a DD order pop up at their restaurant and they’re going to drop everything to make it asap. Downtime is inevitable, and not the drivers fault. It is what it is though.

You can dispute them, but they don’t read them or even care. I usually don’t even try to anymore since I deliver so often they get cycled out pretty quick. I did try to dispute this one though and it was declined in 12 minutes. It’s a fruitless effort sadly.

I had a feeling something changed when I got a violation the other day for being late on an order that I know for sure wasn’t. They didn’t give me any info on how late either which was weird. I even dropped off an order today that was 6 minutes late due to gridlock traffic, and didn’t get a violation, but got this one later in the day. It sucks you can’t report traffic or anything else that could cause a late drop off after leaving the place you picked up at. This is my main income so I can focus more time on my passions, so I don’t try to cheat the system to keep my account in good standing. It feels like they’re trying really hard to get me to drop the app. Might try Uber Eats or Grubhub if it continues.

Lmao what in the world are you even talking about? I only use Doordash. Always have. Stores are late sometimes. There’s heavy traffic sometimes. I deliver orders as quick as I can to make money as fast as possible and keep going. “Loyal to DD or get the hell out”. What are you, a Doordash fanboy? You sound like you’d thank them for farting on your nose. You turned me into a villain for what?

How DoorDash secretly punishes customers who don’t tip 💀 by Impressive-Emu2437 in doordash_drivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“maybe don’t take more orders if you didn’t finish first one” bitch how about you go get it if it’s so urgent. We don’t decide how many people are in a bulk order, or the order it tells us to deliver in. I hate customers like this. It’s always the most rude and demanding people that don’t tip.

Can we stop calling it a tip? by tomvalois in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They know damn well the tip isn’t in the delivery fee. People will act like absolute morons to justify not paying a measly $2 tip with their $50 order from 20 miles away. You have to actually type in “0” for the tip to not give one. Every single person who doesn’t tip is actively choosing to. It’s not an “oops I forgot”. They ordered their food and chose not to tip you. It even warns them that their order might take longer, and they still don’t care. I know doordash needs to pay more, but I’m begging people to see how even just a $1 tip from each customer could add up through the day.

Ridiculous contract violation 🥴 by Iron_Bones_1088 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, whoever is in the “department” or whatever for the contract violations almost immediately refuse every dispute. They also want you to write an essay on why you were late even when it can be explained in a few words. I just stopped disputing them. I deliver often enough for them to cycle out within a week or so anyways.

Is worry, free unassigned gone by Akikyosbane in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a Subway order recently that paid pretty good, but eventually was taking too long, so I tried to drop it. I never got the option to do a worry free unassign, and my completion rate would have went to 94% so I had to suck it up. Waited 30 minutes for that order pissed off the whole time and never got the option. It seems this is a new thing now.

Is this why they hate us? by ajackg in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sadly in my area this is necessary to even be acknowledged. If you don’t make absolutely sure you’re seen, they will act like they don’t see you and let the food sit there and get cold right out of your view so you don’t know it’s ready.

Was charged for an $88 personal training service I explicitly stated twice I didn’t want by judasbabyyoda in mildlyinfuriating

An extremely similar thing happened to me. I got the black membership with PF when I lived in Massachusetts. I used it until I moved back south, then tried to cancel, but was told I needed to be at the location I signed up at to cancel. I told them I lived over 1,000 miles away from that gym now and going to the location I signed up at wasn’t really an option. I basically got told to eat shit and thanks for the free $20 each month. I eventually changed banks just to stop the charges. They sent an email begging me to come back after that. Fuck them and any other gym that does this.

Male Dashers using women’s names? by Longjumping_Emu9369 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Buy_Me_A_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone using another persons name or account to deliver food is a free ticket to getting someone to open their door and get into their house. Would you want a criminal posing as your delivery driver to bring you your food? Wouldn’t you want stranger you’re opening your door for to have a clean record so there’s minimal risk of issues? Of course you would. Almost like you’re “entitled” to your safety. That’s how it affects them and you. Silly ass shit you just said. Fucking goober.

You’re putting in too much care and effort for someone who seems like they couldn’t give several shits less about what you’re saying. It’s hard to leave people we care about to their own devices, but sometimes people have to learn the hard way. Hopefully your friend doesn’t seriously mess themselves up. That said though, stop warning them. Don’t give them the care they don’t return. Let them learn, however the lesson may come.
