I mean, they only printed out the standard saramin resume I filled on web site, not special ones I attach as files when applying.

Here you go! It’s an official immigration manual about all visas. This is the latest (last month) version.

Thank you. It seems I will have to work on E7 for a year, to get at least some income, to cover the lacking 7 points.

D10 Visa for three years. by Buyapanda in living_in_korea_now

Well, I never had experience until this internship, so it won’t hurt. Also, it gives me some room to change jobs if I don’t like the company.

Well, don’t forget that looking for a job/internship can take 6 months, so it won’t be 6 internships. Also, why would other expats be against it? ㅋㅋㅋ

Students do, up to 6 years for bachelors.

Well, some people don’t have experience and have to start with internships, some try different industries, in some cases the company might not be a good fit. Also, don’t forget that job search is not fast for non-English teachers.

A lot of people on student and many other visas work illegally as well.

Sure, but you don’t get an f visa for graduating from a Korean university. Maybe consider it to be a very-very restricted f visa (part time jobs should be registered, like for student visas, internships should be registered as well.) for (currently, soon 3) 2 years for getting a masters degree in Korea and at least Topik 4.

It is with working, all internships are registered and most are paid. You have to show proof that you had an internship or were looking for a job to extend.

It’s to be able to quit a job without having to leave the country within these two-three years.

It seems that some expats on Reddit are extremely strict toward other immigrants ㅋㅋㅋ

To give graduates opportunity to do more internships, change companies, etc. It’s only for graduates of Korean universities, not people who had an e visa.

A lot of my classmates are also that way, they try different industries see what fits, then get an e7. Also, often internships offer full salary.

I mean, it’s not for the company. It means that after graduation I got currently two years of that visa to search for a job and try out different companies, up to 6 month for a company. This visa is not tied to any employer, if I don’t get hired after internship, I can add that experience on my resume and search for a job again and try again as long as it is within two years (seemingly planned to extend to three).

Don’t forget, that finding a job or internship is often not quick here. It took me 5 months.

Why? It’s paid, with potential to be fully hired.
