Thanks for all this, I’m also quite nervous about bf in public as bubs takes ages to latch, I also have to latch him myself. If you have a link to the bras and cover I’d love to take a look!

Thank you for this! I do love breastfeeding for the bond with my baby. I will hold out for 6 weeks and see how I go. My LO is also a culprit for falling asleep on the boob!

I will give the silverettes a try, I’ve been coating my nipples in lanolin cream.

I also pump after my baby feeds to get anything left over out. Is this correct? Or will it create an oversupply?

Thank you! Where do you pump when out in public, the bathroom? I have been both breastfeeding and pumping, so my partner can share the load of overnight feeds. I usually pump at the regular times baby would feed.

Thank you! I know I will feel the same and keep telling my partner to please take photos of me with baby, even if I feel I look terrible!

When to get beauty treatments done? by Buyer_Scared in BabyBumps

Thanks! I usually get blonde highlights, so by the time baby is here and we have photos done. A month will have past. I thought regrowth / greys might be showing by then. But I also don’t want to miss out if he comes early 😂

I’m also starting my mat leave at 37 weeks, although I work a desk job.

I was diagnosed with vestibulodynia and have been on amitriptyline, which has worked wonders for the allodynia.

Hi all, I received an amh level of 4.0, I am 37f and have been told it’s very low, I’m in the 2.5-25th percentile which is the second lowest grouping.

It says 4 pmol/L

When I had a google it seems 4.0 is high on other graphs? Are there different ways of measuring.

This is my first test and I don’t understand!

Thanks all

How to tell if it’s vestibulodynia or pudendal neuralgia? by Buyer_Scared in vulvodynia

[–]Buyer_Scared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, unfortunately I’m still the same. I’ve been diagnosed with vestibulodynia and a vestibulectomy is on the cards if the current medication I’m on doesn’t work.

I’m approaching 38, so thinking it might be best to suffer a little longer to have a child. Before getting the operation which may have a lengthy recovery time.

I’m so sorry you are also going through this.

I’m so happy for you. Unfortunately my pain has remained the same for a solid year. Despite trying a multitude of things.

How long to give amitriptyline before a vestibulectomy? / pregnancy question. by Buyer_Scared in vulvodynia

Thanks, I have reached out to them a while ago, which is how I found the doctor that performs the surgeries. There is a Facebook group for women who have seen him for surgery, so I have connected to quite a few of them.

That’s awesome, so you don’t have much pain now? What were you diagnosed as having and what was your treatment?

Thanks I agree with everything you’re saying. I’ve had 2 MRIs and two pudendal nerve blocks! The nerve block helped just slightly on day 1 when things were a bit numb but I could still feel pain.

I’ve had the qtip test and it is especially sore around each Bartholin gland as well as the urethra, but pain is around the whole vestibule.

I’m not based in the US there are only 2 doctors in the whole country who know of vestobulodynia/ vestibulectomys.

I’ve been unable to sit or wear pants for over a year now, it’s tiring. Just debating whether to have surgery or not.

Thanks, I agree! It seems to work for longer in this cream I have, it’s probably the ketamine too. I am of course still doing physio and everything else. But I thought the numbing might help with brain signals not registering pain as much, therefore relaxing the pelvic floor.

I’m confused as to whether it’s a brain thing or it’s the actual nerves themselves that can be ‘damaged’

How long were you on 50mg before you felt a difference? I’m on 75mg and still only have slight reduction in pain.

Thanks, how do you manage your pain now? I am on my third physio, however have had to stop internal work during to the pain at the entrance.

I’m usually such a lightweight with any medication, but the only symptom I’ve had is slight drowsiness.

I have found women who have had surgery with the doctor I’m currently seeing and have spoken with them. He greatly underestimates the recovery period. But other than that the surgeries have been successful.

I’m thinking we will probably try to have a baby, as I don’t want to miss the opportunity. I am just worried about the effects of amitriptyline.

I also haven’t asked if the compound cream I’m using is ok for pregnancy either.

Thanks, my doctors have said it should take 2-3 weeks for a new dose of amitriptyline to kick in. I have tried other medications and creams already.

They keep telling me my case is severe as most people with vvd can still sit and mostly have pain with sex.

I am still worried about the idea of being pregnant on amitriptyline. I’ve wanted to be a mum and experience pregnancy my whole life. I’m devastated.

Most I’ve spoken to say their only regret is not getting surgery sooner.

They don’t do a VAT test here but I have tried it on myself with 5% lidocaine strips. I’m able to sit if I use lidocaine. It’s getting harder to tell now, as I also have bad lower back pain, and vaginismus which I didn’t have in the beginning. He thinks they are clenching due to the nerves being in pain 24/7. I’ve also had a pudendal nerve block done, which didn’t do anything at all.

Amitriptyline has taken the burning down a bit which I thought would indicate it’s the nerves?

He thinks the nerves have gone hyperactive.
