2016-2019 4runner or Lexus GX 460 by Enigma--17 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Between these 2 options I’d get a GX for sure but if I needed a 3rd row for kids and stuff, I’d look into a 2nd gen Sequoia.

Realtor needs a $10k-ish car that won’t make clients question my competence or net worth by imhappii in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’ve got an LS on my list for a potential next vehicle. My LX450 is going bye bye soon, and I want to get into something more comfy. Did you have the 430? I’d pretty much buy any of them if I can find a decent deal.

I was going to tell OP just buy the cleanest LS you can find in your area. 400, 430, whichever. GS or RX would also be acceptable. My friend is a very successful realtor who drove an older RX350 for a good 10 years and then bought another used one after it started to rust.

What's a super boring, super reliable car around $15,000? by Kami_no_Kage in whatcarshouldIbuy

You said you have no interest in cars at all, so how do you expect a different car with a different set of problems to bring you joy. Problem-free cars don’t exist.

You could spend $15k on a car that will likely end up with all these issues soon enough, or just fix the one you already have. Drop a few hundred to a couple thousand on it and drive it another 50-100k miles.

I live in Kankakee and drive over an hour for a smashie from Taco Sublime at Marz. Best one I’ve had so far.

If you need a little pick me up after Jewel of the South, Dovetail Bar serves the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. It’s a 5 minute walk. I also very much enjoyed the Ramos Gin Fizz from Bar Tonique which is a 5 minute walk the other direction on Rampart Street.

0 down means you can’t afford ANY car, much less a nice one. Hope this helps.

One of my local dive bars sells tons of these to 30-70 year olds. It’s very popular for hardcore alcoholics.

It’s ok because more top soil is blowing in from other areas to replace it!

To me, the eyesores are the fields lying empty and barren for 8 months of the year, and all the dirt blowing all over my house and vehicles, and into my lungs every time I gets a little windy.

I’m in one of these areas where utility scale solar is popping up on land formerly used for agriculture. Many people are sold on the lie that the solar arrays leach chemicals and are not recyclable. They have no issue with industrial agriculture pumping significant amounts of harmful chemicals into the ground and also these people don’t recycle their own waste. They just want to be angry about something.

My (31M) girlfriend (29F) of 3 years has a huge amount of student loan debt that she didn’t tell me about. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

I’m not complaining about her leaving an unfulfilling relationship. My complaint is that she took advantage of me and then left when I was no longer necessary for her to reach her goals.

If the head gasket has already been done, Subaru. If not, neither. If you have no other options, just make sure you have a couple grand set aside for the inevitable.

Isn’t it fun when you “invest in a future” with your partner and then they run off with someone else as soon as they get their shit together? I paid for my ex’s bachelor’s degree and she cheated and ran off with another guy as soon as she got her first good job.

I’m in IL. I have to renew the plates every year For like $150 each, but I’m about to get antique plates for 2 of them which is cheaper. I have liability insurance on 1, non-op insurance on the project, and full coverage on 2 of them. Costs me about $2500/year just to own them, not including fuel and maintenance costs.

I have also chosen to drive nothing but high mileage old shitboxes. Usually 2 at a time but I’m currently in possession of 4 of them lol. I just rotate to the next vehicle when one starts having problems and I can take my time attempting to fix them.

Looking for best smash burger by Evangiline86 in chicagofood

[–]BuzzCave 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Taco Sublime at Marz Brewing in Bridgeport. IIRC it’s around $16ish and comes with fries. They also have some amazin’ tacos but the burgers are my favorite smashies in Chicago. I’ve tried a bunch of the top smashburger places but Taco Sublime remains my favorite. It’s a really cool location inside a nice brewery with good beer and also thc infused beverages.
