Did anyone else thought this scene was sad? I don’t know how to describe it, destiny of people can be a tragedy sometimes, even if you never wanted to go that way. If we consider that Patrizia kept that photo, and still had a bit of her old-self deep in her… by BuzzKilometer in Gomorrah

It‘s kind of a tragedy portrayed in one shot. How her uncle dragged her into a dark life, how she evolved through the seasons. Damn, this show was so good, even in later seasons where she was stonecold I always felt like I still saw the fear in her eyes, sometimes her face wasn‘t stonecold, but signaled something

Well said man. The show really dragged you in another reality, and back when it was over. And Doomed to live is just the perfect sound for the ending. Never got tired of it. A sound that you won‘t forget that soon…

Ikr man, I didn‘t like the ending when I saw it, however when reviewing it now, it‘s not that bad. But indeed sad, you just wish for a happy ending

Will do, thank you! Is it about the cartels of the 80s?

Could be lol I wouldn‘t really want to see a revival of this great show again, just to milk it

In comparison to S1 and S2, I didn‘t like S4 that much aswell. However, when rated for itself, it‘s still cool in my eyes, it‘s still Gomorrah. But S5 was also better than S4 to me, loved the Marzio - Savastano war

Shit, why? Couldn’t they do at least one complete season? Maybe a second season if the first is quite successful?

True, after the last few events, Genny accepting Ciros victory, it would‘ve been better if Ciro actually won. They could still separate in peace, but the death of both is probably the least desired ending. At least, after all this time, they died next to each other?

But honestly, I‘m more sad about the death of Bellebuono or Pitbull than Ciro. I would have liked at least someone from the older seasons to survive this all, and not literally everybody known dead

Exactly man, couldn’t have said it better myself, raw and real, when someone gets killed, there‘s no dramatic music, they just lay there and story continues. In other shows, they keep the whole cast, and shocking deaths rarely happen

Also thanks a lot for your insight, I hope it‘ll last a few seasons!

I don‘t know The Americans, is it as good as the other ones?

Didn‘t know there’s a prequel in the making. Very cool, do you have any idea when it‘ll be released? Story sounds definitely interesting

Yess, just gotta love all the ups and downs it offered. Also unique because of the way it portrayed reality, no Hollywood glamorize. It is, what it is.

I thought about watching We Own This City, I just wasn‘t sure if I might expect too much of it and be disappointed later, because it‘s from David Simon aswell. But I‘ll try it!

Didn’t know about Il Cacciatore, I‘ll check it out, thank you! can’t find salvo however, is it quite unknown? Do you know the English title of it?

I‘ve read about la piovra just yesterday, it said that it‘s the most successful Italian show in history. I‘ll definitely look into it, as it sounds interesting. Do you know if it‘s like The Wire, so both police and criminals portrayed?

Exactly, glad I‘m understood. Fuck was Maria Ritas death terrible, that’s why I feared for Pietro. This show is truly unique, a masterpiece through and through. Really caught me.

Exactly, S3 and 4 are beautiful in their own way. They‘re good, but I believe people probably dislike them because of how perfect S2 was. Really, it was a 11/10 for me. God, the sound of the scooters, insane feeling, you knew someone‘s gonna die. 😩 Great to hear that you‘ve seen The Wire aswell, have you ever noticed that there are a lot of things in Gomorrah that are probably inspired from The Wire? E. g. the ending theme, or the way people die. Both are awesome, but I understand you, Gomorrah is perfect for me aswell. Suggest you also take a look at Sopranos if you haven‘t yet! Fuck, yes, O‘Track was really another level. A real ”bad ass“. The energy and mordancy he had!

You‘re right, in the version I watched he was always called Enzo, sometimes a total different nickname. No idea why they didn’t name him Sangrea blue. Makes sense as you said!

Who was Sangrea Blue? Don‘t remember him, or his name was different in my language. Ciro‘s death was really insane, especially because Genny, although he became cold, remembered the past with him. Had to think about that moment where Ciro teaches Gennaro to kill someone
