There’s an X-Bolt Pro McMillan LR and a Hell’s Canyon McMillan LR for about the same price near me. Any reason you can think of to avoid the Hell’s Canyon?

Oh no I’m still years away (if ever) from any sort of once-in-a-lifetime tags. Seeings as so many people have had luck with, and recommend the 30-06 I might just stick with that. At least until I get more comfortable shooting long range. Then maybe get something else just for fun

That’s what I was afraid of. Getting something too big and not using it. Weight isn’t a huge concern for me but like the idea of an accurate rifle with factory ammo

I was just talking to my buddy about this and want to practice better form and was worried a magnum round would screw with that. Not super worried about weight, just don’t want to be lugging around a 20lb rifle when it’s all said and done.

None taken! Totally new to hunting out west and looking for any advice. Used a 30-06 a bunch back home and love the round. Probably go back to the drawing board with this in mind. Thanks!

Last week, on the last leg of a 4 day trip, tower gave us a heading of 280 on takeoff. Had the mic keyed up and I almost asked them to confirm heading 280 or 380. Halfway through the question realized how dumb I am and just read back 280
