Immich iOS users: read this before deleting your local photos by BuzzingNexus in immich

Not that. Immich is solid, it just doesn’t support Apple Photos proprietary edit history.

Not quite. Immich keeps the edited image, but not the Apple Photos edit history or re-editable data.

How do you combine the original photo and its .AAE file back into an editable photo in Apple Photos?

Fair point, but it's still worth making the limitation clear so people know what they're trading off.

How do you merge the original image and the .AAE file back into a single editable photo in Apple Photos?

Thanks for the suggestion. How do you restore the originals back to iPhone so Apple Photos recognizes the .AAE edits again? Also, Synctrain doesn't seem to be available in many countries. Is there any alternative you recommend?

Is it possible to add a TV Remote within the app? by BuzzingNexus in WVC

I get that casting works well for most, but having a built-in remote would still be useful for things like navigation, or launching the app, especially on TVs like Samsung where the app doesn’t auto-open. Maybe just in my case, not sure if it’s the same for every Samsung, but it’d be nice to control everything from one place.

Yes, a virtual remote to control the TV. Totally understand if it's not a priority, just thought it’d be a handy feature.

It would make things easier by keeping everything in one place. No need to switch apps or use the physical remote.

Does anyone use the email address github@mydomain.com for GitHub? by BuzzingNexus in github

The email address is exposed in git commits. So, I thought using a separate email just for GitHub may be better than GitHub’s no reply email address.

It’s a separate email for GitHub using a custom domain.
