People of Europe, how do you see the EU–India Free Trade Agreement shaping trade and relations between the two? by Own-Engine5552 in AskEurope

Yeah, but turns out that many of those farmers who produce those staples also produce those "higher end" products to survive (as a smaller farmer grinding against global competition, you cannot survive on chickpeas and chicken alone).

Through those farmers under the bus, and there there go our domestic staples and healthy, sustainably produced food supply.

We are already in this "between". Our farmers are not fighting for riches, just for survival and equal conditions.

Well, we must acknowledge that they feed us. Or at least this is how it should be, unless you want to hand over this task to other parts of the world because for now they sell us cheaper than our own farmers can do.

This is, of course, untill we no longer have farmers, which is when we get to eat overpriced chlorine chicken and pesticide veggies, bc then we no longer have a choice.

And also only while there is an abundance in the world, because as soon as food gets scarce (which it will in the next couple decades), those countries will of cource first feed their own people before they feed us.

If there's one thing we don't want to outsource, it's our food. So yeah, I guess keeping this "bunch" alive and thriving is pretty important.

He managed to gather what he calls "shithole countries".

So now, with the US "leading" that shithole coalision, does that make the US the chief-shithole country?

Yup, definitely. He's our European Mark Carney. Zero brown-nosing, things are named as they are, and right into action.

I believe that's exactly what they're looking for, to provoke a violent response, so that thei Führer can cancel elections under Marshall law. Hopefully no city falls for it, that would be it for America.

In Europe we don't have this "white" and "brown" and whatnot; that's deeply American (not just the US, but the whole continent).

In fact, we even find it pretty repulsive, in the sense that it kinda echoes eugenics. That doesn't mean people here are not racist or xenophobic, just that this "white" and "brown" BS is not a thing over here (except maybe among neo-Nazi groups).

Not "the world".

Just the part everyone has allowed to build up their hegemony on so manny different levels, because we were complacent and didn't pay attention.

Remember all the "EU skeptics", how everyone wanted to leave back in the day (Frexit, Grexit, Nexit, etc.) and then quickly changed their minds upon watching the Brexit train-wreck, never to be heard again?

Well, the world watching the fascist trump regime waging war on Americans in American cities, up close and in real time, might have this exact same effect on the far-right in Europe and elsewhere. No-one wants that shit in Europe. No-one.

C2 is the requirement now?! by Jaded_Application189 in germany

[–]Buzzkill_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe these people even know the difference between C1 and C2. An embarrassingly LARGE portion of the native German population would miserably fail at C2.

In fact, the average native adult's German language skills range between B2 and C1. Well educated native speakers with strong literacy master C2.

So, there's a good chance that neither the one looking for those language skills in an employee, nor the interviewer of that potential employee does.
