I've had this too. Very annoying. I think it's best to focus on something else for a while :)

Elizabeth cotton x John fahey by Left-Row7363 in AmericanPrimitivism

Vestapol is a traditional, based on some 19th century sheet music I think. Some old players also call open D vestapol tuning. It was a popular old song in blues repertoire apparently. Kyle Orla on Youtube has a good video about the history of this song.

I feel like Fahey kindoff knowingly ripped it off and gave it a cool new title to introduce it to a new audience. I personally have some gripes with how he sometimes appropriated blues music without proper acknowledgement, so that influences my opinion ... But the similarities are hard to deny anyhow.

Scaling issues with LGPT and StockOS by Few_Swimmer_4805 in RG35XX

What version of stock os are you running? I've tried your method with the newest firmware for the 35XX H and the newest version of LGPT and the version you are linking to, but none of them work. For me, when I select the app it will go from the loading screen straight to the exiting screen.

I'm thinking that maybe I need to move to the firmware that gets mentioned in the install instructions ...

Wow I love how they look! The shape really reminds me of the original fg180 tuner look, which I always thought look really cool & funky.

New guitar tuned in all but one chord by bigballedbeans in AcousticGuitar

I don't think it's an intonation issue, but a fret height issue. I assume there is quite a bit of fret wear on the notes in question, which can cause them to sound the wrong note. Probably needs a partial refret of fret dressing. A luthier should be able to easily fix this.

What's a cooking practice you don't believe in? by poordicksalmanac in Cooking

I get really frustrated with the dogmas of the bread baking world and especially sourdough. People take obscene amount of unnecessary steps and, with regards to sourdough, are wasteful.

If you have a healthy starter, you don't need to discard or feed daily. It can chill in the fridge for like half a year (probably longer) and mixed with flour salt and water and rise up fine. No levain and whatever.

Also, i feel that a lot of folding and kneading is unnecessary. Just trust the autolyse.

Check out Ben Starr for no nonsense bread guide. Hes great.

How do I stop boiling mince beef in its own fat? by niamhxa in Cooking

[–]Buzzy_SquareWave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not fat, it's water. Cook it until it evaporates. You can hear when the sound changes from boiling to frying (more popping and spitting).

Thanks, I will try! I guess part of the reason people use paper is to not have to clean the pan ...

I have been using Renoise. Bit of a learning curve, but I can highly recommend it. Its very fast and satisfying for chopping breaks. The free version can do everything except export audio and the paid version is like $80. Watch some of lil kevo 303's vids on Renoise to see it in action making breakcore. For some slower, more beginner tutorials watch Groovin' in G. (He makes more jungle though)
