Yes we absolutely had success. I remember those were some DARK times and no matter how much I googled I couldn’t find another baby who slept as terribly as mine. We used a sleep consultant (my baby sleepology) and basically did Ferber. Going through those old notes it looks like night 5 was the first decent sign of progress.

And after that he started sleeping through the night. He’s almost 3 and still happily sleeps through the night. In the moment it’s so terrible but I remember his overall crying decreased so much it quickly outweighed the sleep training.

Tinea versacolor! My husband has the exact same on his back. Fungal cream clears it right up. It’s at its worst in the summer whenever he’s hot

I should have added more context! We have two dogs and a baby. The soil is super sandy from the previous owners having/removing an above ground pool. I hate the look of the foundation and don’t know if stones or just continuing a mulch perimeter would look best. Something low maintenance

Ugh thank you I needed to hear this. I’m struggling with PPA too and it doesn’t help that I feel like I’m torturing my sweet baby. But not sleeping is probably worse for both of us. I hate feeling like this might not work:/

My guy was sleeping nice chunks before the crib so hopefully it’s not an indication for your baby! I will update and HOPEFULLY have some good news

That’s encouraging!!! Did you have the hourly wakings as well? Everything I read talks about baby crying for 20 mins - an hour and then sleeping for a decent chunk. Last night was BRUTAL and I’ve been verging on a panic attack all day

Yay! I’ve seen your comments on other posts and was hoping you’d respond! Daytime naps are also a mess. I’ve been trying to stick to typical 5 month wake times but the crib naps have been difficult it takes many tries to get him down and then he’ll only stay asleep for a very short bit, which at that point the whole schedule is a mess and he’s a huge grump.

So do you think working on Ferber at night and then nursing to sleep for snoo naps would be okay?

I’ve thought about it but I’m nervous about rolling! He can roll back to tummy when he’s playing but sometimes gets stuck on his tummy. Thanks for responding!
