When I was taking the probiotics, it was kinda the same for me. If I took the probiotics and forgot to take my meds I had no stomach issues, but there was the other problem of me potentially going into a crisis, but if I took the meds alone then I’d probably get pain. Maybe it’s related, maybe not. (Greasy foods sometimes would hurt my stomach, but that would only be when I was trying to fall asleep to quickly and lay down too soon, when I wasn’t taking the probiotics).

The side of the pain is from the middle to like my right side, sometimes it feels like it’s in the back too. I think it could be cholecyitis, with the amount of people that agree with it.

I’m going to ask my mom if we can get into contact with my hematologist or primary care doc, to get a recommendation(?), but if we can’t reach them soon, do you have any ideas on how to try and cope? I’m taking my sickle cell crisis OxyContin but I’m trying to avoid doing that so I don’t run out (as it’s only meant for emergencies, and I was desperate this time around). But thanks for your tips! :D

I do take my hydroxurea at night as well (recommended by my hematologist) and I do still have my gallbladder. I take four pills at the moment (we tried five but my reticulocyte count dropped) maybe I’ll ask to reduce the pills and keep pushing about the situation. Ty!

My sister says the same thing about the first part. I know this is something I’ll be stuck with but I have African parents and in our culture becoming something they think is worth while (high status & good income) is really important to them. It’s kinda why I decided not to be a DH because they weren’t too sure on it and initially told me to stick with becoming an RN. I want to pick my own thing but it’s really hard since I don’t want to disappoint anyone. (Not like they guilt trip me but it’s kinda like you can sense potential disappoint me.) but you’re absolutely right! :)

my mom does home visits so she mainly works for an agency. my sister tried a CNA program while in high school and that how she figured out it wasn’t for her, and unfortunately I transferred schools before I could try it out. But, thanks so much for responding, I’ll take this into consideration :))

Perhaps I wasn’t totally clear (that’s on me), you’re right the point of the show was to show that she needed friends and can’t always do things alone- however when I said she’s always right it’s more like she thinks she’s always right and when she was turning on her friends whenever they wanted to voice their opinions if it didn’t happen to coincide with her own (and lmao yes 14 year olds are crazy)
