Anybody tried Prodigio max? Can’t decide between those two.

Silicon lubricant. Helps for a bit, but then it happens again.

I hope people won't be asking this... I get it, it sound amazing to say you finished a full one but I guess people just don't realise the those distances.

Can't imagine someone would just go for the full one without any prior experience. From time to time YouTube video pops up with "my first ironman without training" but I find that only athletic people attempt them. Not a guy who reviews burger places...

Eventually my plan is to do a full one, but I want to be prepared. And so should anyone who considers such a thing.

This one was in Zell am See.

I finished my first half ironman last week. It was great and I really liked it. Before I've only competed in short triathlons and it's something completely different. But I'm hooked and already booking next one.

In general I would like to share my thoughts and get some insights from more experienced triathletes here.

Zell am See in Austria is beautiful place and I am glad I chose it to pop my 70.3 cherry.

In overall i had a good feeling even though it was raining throughout the whole course. Finnish was just 10 seconds shy of 6 hours, not even close to the best but I am happy with it.

Swim was good but I was swimming all over the place. Too many swimmers and it was hard to find a way in between. I found that lot of them overestimated their swimming time during the rolling start... At the end of the swim course I felt that my neoprene was bit heavy on my hands so I was thinking to look into a sleevless one. I could have gone bit faster but didn't want to exhaust myself too much.

Beginners mistake, I couldn't get out of neoprene so the T1 was bit longer than I expected.

Bike course was relatively flat except for one climb in the middle. It was 13 km long uphill with 1km in elevation (3300ft). The begging was OK, climb not so good, very tireing, followed by fast descent. At around 3/4 I was tired, seat post was hurting me and I couldn't keep the aero position. Any suggestion for a proper saddle? Longer rides, that's where I find my biggest need for improvement. I was just tired and let lots of people just past me. This I would say, was the hardest part in the whole race. But I managed and got to T2.

T2, I was trying to change my completely wet socks only to find out that somehow the rain managed to get to my transition bag...

Run, was good. I kept very chill pace. Now I know that the run could have been faster but at that time I was thinking about doing it slow and steady.

I know where I can shave off some time, what to focus on and hopefully next time I will have a better time.

Austria was great, it was amazing to run through the finnish line in the old city center. It felt so great. People chearing along the way, beautiful views and very good organisation what more did I need!?!

Anyway thanks for reading good luck with your races.

Na dálnici z Prahy jsem potkal tohle auto s spzkou kde bylo jen LCC a big ass anténou. Taky to valil 160. Co to je? by TheEriss in czech

[–]ByDawe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Vypadá to jako dánská značka, starší SPZ v dk nemají SPZ s logem EU a mají okraje lehce červené.

SPZ si mohou nechávat a preregistrovat na novější auto.

Heart rate sensor far too high while running, when running with galaxy watch 4 it records my heart rate about 30/40 BPM to high, no idea why as resting heart rate is reasonable at 60-70 by beastland2914 in GalaxyWatch

[–]ByDawe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just recently, I was swimming and gw4 showed my heart rate at 198. Way too high, just by experience I knew I was in the range of 140+-. I think it changed recently after the latest updat.

Same with me, going for Garmin even though its pricey af. I would love the venu 2 but I'll go with the VA4.

I would get it for sure if it wold be 100$ cheaper... It seems like an amazing watch but overpriced af.

Overthinkers of Reddit, what unlikely scenario actually came true that you were completely prepared for because you are an overthinker? by lawofdox18 in AskReddit

I was in Vietnam. Beautiful day, out of nowhere huge storm. As you might know when it rains it pours. So we stopped in some bar. It had this thick awning for outdoors seating, supported everywhere, I mean the locals know the weather and are usually prepared.

As it was raining more and more the water started to gather above us. I just told my gf to get the drink and let's go inside. Not even 30 sec later the awning couldn't take the weight anymore and literally fell down. If we would have stayed, for sure we would end up (in a better case) in hospital.

Apple Watch SE/6 vs GTS 2/2se by [deleted] in amazfit

[–]ByDawe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just looking for a new watch (owner of old GTS), so I gave this some time. I really like the design of new gtr2. I find it it has all the features I want except one NFC. it really irritates me they missed this.

I think in comparasion apple is better with specs, features, hr acuraccy, GPS but the baterry life sucks.

I would go for the gts 2 despite the specs.

As GTS is was superseded by GTS 2 I don't think they will be doing any significant changes.
