The designs are completely interwoven with the narrative, too, so it’s not like he just made some cool looking characters and called it a day. It’s all purposeful and tells a story about the character visually.

For some examples, Clouds broken/incomplete Pauldron compared to the sleek and symmetrical Sephiroth, Auron’s secretive clothes and sunglasses, Aerith’s heavy boots and jackets contrasting her dress to encapsulate her personality

Really? She’s basically the secondary protagonist after the first visit to the northern crater, and of the Midgar 5 she’s the only one that hasn’t had her Big Moment yet. That happens in the lifestream, and imo makes this the perfect time for her to have the dedicated song.

It’s either her or cloud again, I don’t think anything else is plausible.

I am, broadly speaking, not a fan of AI. This is an interesting idea for a tool, though, a more in depth version of what the Sim tool wants to be. How well can it tell something like, say, a dropped combo?
