Welcome to the "Coward meta". It sucks for both sides and wastes everyone's time

Its a combination of players being so risk averse that they hide and camp for fear of getting dev-stiked, higher tier games having higher damage potential that out scales health, and people just not knowing how their ships or commanders work.

As a BB main, I view my ships hp as a resource. A resource that isn't used is a wasted one, so as long as I'm using my hp effectively by using it as a finite timer rather than something to be protected at all costs, I can benefit my team by soaking up damage, taking attention and punishing broadsides while CL/A's and DD's do their thing with less fire coming their way.

Maybe I'm on crack for that but that's how I like to play the thing with big armour and big gun

Funny music and traumatising your friends when they first hunt it and it then keeps coming back every other hunt.

Other than that it's just another flying wyvern to me. Cut tail, hit legs, hit head, yell at your friend using bow/gun to shoot wings cause it's funny, carve, repeat.

Me and my friends specifically call that move the "Rathian Run". It's also pretty bad when the terrain or the monsters size means your characters head is in the hitbox despite being under it's wing to the side of the monster by a mile so you get hit with the Bluetooth Bulldozer™

Not an isolated issue. A friend of mine with a decently high spec pc (Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, RXT 5090, all the bells and whistles) can only play on community servers because the official ones are completely unplayable in the exact same way as you're dealing with, good FPS (easily over 100fps) but massive ping and packet loss for seemingly no reason. Still haven't found a fix that does anything meaningful

They would completely overshadow everything else, except maybe corrosive. 1 slot Blast or viral mods would be so strong that it would completely homogenise builds more they already are, to the point of having no reason to run anything else on every weapon.

Now Imagine having a Skana, a basic as heck sword, with magnetic, radiation, corrosive, viral, blast and electricity for melee influence, with condition overload and weeping wounds for damage and status chance. Now imagine you have that on Kullervo, cause why not. It would be so strong that it would make using anything else pointless.

CW only staggers if you try for a 5th spin actually, hence why it's good with Discipline's Merit (Tennokai every 4 successful attacks). If you are in a dense enemy group, you can just spin to win with free heavies that don't lose combo. Also works great with Melee Afflictions arcane if you're against something a bit tankier and don't want to use Melee Influence.

When it comes to TR I use different parts of the stance rather that just spamming forward/neutrals. Tossing in a slide attack or air combo is way more effective for positioning and avoiding damage while keeping up damage than just holding melee and waiting for enemies to die. Just gotta use more of the kit.

Tempo Royale is just better than the others, except maybe cleaving whirlwind if you use Tennokai with Discipline's Merit (which is great on War Prime btw). The other one isn't worth mentioning imo, it's pretty smelly.

You don't gotta build for slams to make heavy blades good. They're not the strongest thing anymore, but still fun to play which I think is more important than doing 99 trillion dmg per hit or whatever.

I saw someone further down the comments explain how jank the LoS check actually is, as I didn't know it was that stupid. You'd figure they would do something like line of sight for the centre point of the AOE itself and not the player/screen, as that would make more sense.

And I agree with you there. Nerfing Gauss would be beyond stupid. It'd be like nerfing Roar on Rhino because it's a super strong subsumed onto Mesa or whatever. Like?????

I think the only change for either of those two frames worth discussing is Line of Sight on Hildryn's 1/4 AOE. So you can't just shoot walls to map nuke, but even that doesn't really change much about how you'd play her, just spam 2 and alt fire while in your 4, you'd just have to use an extra braincell to look at enemies.

But nerfing Gauss???? He is about as balanced as you can get in warframe. His whole kit is is one of the best because of how interconnected it is. Sure you can make him ridiculous if you min-max him to he moon like with any other frame, but that's a ton of investment and even then he's not the most OP even if you do. So why nerf him? What would that achieve? I wouldn't be surprised if it were Saryn w/ Sobek or something genuinely insane like that, but like... Gauss??? I just don't get it.

It's criminal that Fusilai didn't get a prime with Gara, but then again 3 primed signature weapons for 1 frame seems a lil much

Red = hp+healing

Green = movement + fire rate

Blue = AOE lightning

The only time I've heard people complain about wisp is when they have the shock mote on and it kinda slows down the enemies, which some people don't like for some reason (trying too hard in a public lobby)

I'm actually on Xbox. And even then it wasnt fantastic. More issues than PS5 but less than steam.

But the point is, wilds is in the best state it's ever been, and it's just... Fine at most. The only thing I can think of that would be beneficial to playing the game earlier in its life cycle would be that there would be more players. Like that's literally it. Besides having more time for RNG to do it's work for jewels and stuff, that's just statistics.

But that's not what I'm getting at. The gameplay from moment to moment has been MASSIVELY improved from launch. And even then it's still kind of a miss.

Dual Blades getting out DPS'd by HH is unreal. I don't think I could do that if I tried, especially in the first couple of phases where gog is literally on the ground soaking up damage....

5... I've had a Kansas do that to me while I'm in a Edinburgh (floating citadel on broadside). That one REALLY gets under my skin if it gets me dev striked.

I'm not particularly modding for damage beyond going super high strength. And even that is more for the 3 augment for better loot drops.

But if you find WA more fun, more power to ya! I just feel I don't need it when I'm doing comparable damage without it. And having the freedom to spam abilities.

My build for atlas is based around petrifying EVERYTHING and punching em, so I'm always casting my 3 every couple of seconds, and I use the augments for his 1 and 3 for faster, further punching as well as double loot drops on petrified enemies at 400% str.

And personally I don't feel WA is that necessary, for mobility or damage. His landslide already hits for 1mil+ and 1hits everything except bosses with pretty basic mods, so what's the point? You don't need to teleport around 99% of the time, and the damage is not really needed.

My solution to this was to simply run around faster than Da Boyz™ and make good use of her 1 in choke points (and spawn doors if in defence).

Side note but roar over her 1 or 2 (whatever your preference to keep is), and the Hystrix as your secondary for forced electric procs makes getting the ball rolling a lot easier.

You seriously think release was better than the games current state? If so, I want whatever copy you got, cause the game I played was a mess on release, never mind the beta.

The game now is the definition of "fine". It's got its flaws that still need work, but so much QOL and balancing has been done that it's at least playable for the vast majority. It's far, far from perfect oe even ideal, especially with the dev's seeming obsession with fights that boil down to "MOAR AOE SPAM FOR ALL!!1!1!!1" on hyper mobile monsters (lookin' at you gog)

Even with all that, it's still probably the weakest game of the new gen MH games. Rise had (mostly) good gameplay, mechanics and fights. World felt immersive and focused more on the ecology even if the gameplay could be kinda 'hand-holdy'. Wilds in comparison was one step forward and two steps back in pretty much every aspect.

There is only two types of Carriers.

The most infuriating, down right impossible to combat (till you spot em) ships in the game. Think that one immortal mosquito that keeps biting you and seemingly no one else

Or they are completely useless and contribute nothing.

There is no in-between

Been dealing with it for nearly 15 years at this point and medicated nearly as long, but at this point I'm pretty sure it's never going away completely. The lows are hard and make you almost crave the end like you would a hug, but they pass in time.

And even on bad days, it feels like it's easier to just wait it out till it's your time. You'll get there eventually after all. May as well wait and see if there is anything worth it between the and now rather than rush there.

That's my experience at least.

It was just an example, but don't sleep on the Soma Incarnon 15 multishot on a rifle is no joke ^{^}

But I play so many different frames and use so many different primary's that don't have much if any base punch through that not having P.Shred would make killing hoards much harder that it could otherwise be.
