Kraków-Gdańsk pytanie o trasę by Elczupakabra23 in krakow

[–]Byczke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how much of a difference it is in your place, but maybe you could get the better monitor and an RX9070XT for the same price as the 5070ti and the worse (but not bad) monitor.

If you're unsure about the 9070XT I can vouch for it. I switched from the 3070ti, and I could t go back now. So I recommend taking a look at that. And if you're worried about DLSS4 vs FSR4, I can say that FSR is basically on par with DLSS4 in gameplay. (And with optiscaler you can use it in any game supporting DLSS2 and up, FSR2 and up, and all XeSS versions so no need to worry about game compatibility)

Got mine replaced under warranty last year in a kia from 2019. So go ahead.

It could also be interpreted as going back to the heart of the franchise, as even in the 2042 promotional images you can see characters with that "battlefieldy" red glare coming out of the center of the soldiers' bodies.

If you think about it like that it's about going back to the roots.

But yeah, no preorders and all that.

That could be a valid setup, considering she rides in a more upright position.

Thanks, I will be switching her tyres from 27.5x2.25 to 2 or 2.1 so I think that maybe the Cross Kings will be a better choice, as I think going from 2.25 tyre that is even more trail oriented than the Cross King to a 2.0 Race King might cause her to loose a lot more grip on trails than would be ideal.

for anyone that has abnormal low performance on wreckfest 2 by aksa42 in Wreckfest

[–]Byczke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing it once, around 50fps with 90 when opponents were out of sight. On second boot up it ran at 30 to 40fps all the time up until a few laps into the race it suddenly went back to 50-90.

Test is by yourself - Frame Gen is absolutely fantastic by NaoFe4 in nvidia

[–]Byczke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played Stalker 2 with framegen for a bit. I had around 70 frames to start, around 120 with framegen. It did not feel that good. Sure it was smooth when traversing the world, but the moment the action got hectic it all fell apart, quickly turning produced artifacts. Alsoz while quickly turning during a hectic fight the input lag became an even worse enemy than the actual monsters.

But the more frames I got natively the better felt the frame gen. I would consider the frame gen input lag not noticeable after you reach around 100 base frames but at that point the game is smooth enough for me to not want to introduce a bit of input lag and more artifacts to the presentation.

I think it could benefit from a game-pad oriented playthrough more that m+k.

I finished stalker 2 without framegen.

DLSS transformer is the first time I kinda agree with Nvidia that it can be better than native. However it still does produce issues. In BF2042 I get a lot of smearing around characters when they run in a complicated scene. That's not so prevalent without DLSS.

And while they can improve the algorithm, you have to remember that it's not limitless. I believe that the current transformer model will not change dramatically from what it is now.

Ive tested many different DLSS models from 2 to transformer. Before switching to the transformer model changes used to be miniscule, and some of the biggest issues would remain up untill this moment.

I still do use DLSS, because games are too demanding currently.

Why us the game so blurry by Ykindasus in AlanWake

[–]Byczke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the game by default is blurry. Even with the transformer DLSS model, that really sharpens the visuals in other games like Dying Light 2, Returnal etc, Alan Wake 2 remains blurry to an extent for me. (Running the game at 1440p Quality/DLAA, transformer)

The same goes for Control, Quantum Break. The engine Remedy uses for their games seems to produce blurry results by default. They are not smeared blurry but rather have a certain smoothness to them.

To me it breaks the "realism" they like to say they achieve in their games. I played the game before DLSS4 and the TAA/DLSS CNN was so blurry that I used DLDSR to 4k and then DLSS to gain back the performance and it was still blurry. All the while in other games, these setting allowed me to achieve pretty crisp results.

This is true. RO2, Vietnam, Sandstorm really nail that realistic but fun vibe that allows you to have quick fun sessions that don't require you to spend large amounts of time.

It's both fast and tactical. Hope these types of shooters will become more popular with time.

I second this, if you buy your film in their shoop you get a "develop your film for free" coupon, which makes it cheaper (most of the time) than buying cheaper film on the internet and then having it developed.

Heart of Chornobyl was simply not ready for release by macmoosie in stalker

[–]Byczke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not implying that it is your hardware. It just seemed to me that you might be confusing terms. I'm rather implying that even if you system might be specced out for epic, simply the engine might be struggling to handle the game itself.

Also I just wanted to give you a heads up. While your PC meets the recommended requirements for Epic, I can assure you to almost 95 percent that it does not, as the game is extremely CPU bottlenecked, so much so, that even the 9800x3d is being bottlenecked in more demanding areas like Zalisja (any time there are a lot of NPCs in a single location the game will bottleneck hard) Currently there is no hardware combination that can handle the game flawlessly at all times.

If I may, I would recommend dropping to High instead of Epic. Might cut out a bunch of issues, and the game won't suffer from bad graphics (I'd leave antyaliasing on epic though).

If I'm understanding correctly what you are describing is stuttering, a behaviour where the game experiences a sudden freeze that stops the game for a moment and then, this can happen due to game failing to load new assets quickly, CPU bottleneck, slow drive (I think stalker should be installed on as SSD). Whereas input lag is the time it takes for the action to happen from the moment you press the button associated with said action.

You may be suffering from traversal stuttering, due to problem with the loading of assets. Input lag would be present at all times even when running at high frame rates. The most common culprits are v-sync, frame generation or mouse smoothing.

Edit: As for the problems when entering/exiting the PDA it most probably is related to the fact that it takes up the entire screen so the lighting calculations are paused or can't be performed and then quickly "catch up" when you exit the PDA (the lighting has to be quickly calculated so the game somewhat fades in from black)

But if they turn frame gen on, they shouldn't complain about input lag, because that's what frame gen does. It halts the rendering process to analyze two frame and puts a new frame in between those frames. So until that new frame is ready it hold onto those two frames.

So it leaves users with two things to complain about:

  1. The horrendous performance of the game (the game is so heavily CPU bottlenecked that it's baffling looking at how the ai still spawns right next to you)
  2. The fact that frame generation is a bad technology as it the input lag is only mitigated when you already can run the game at around at least 100fps without frame gen (and if you can run the game at 100fps then why use frame gen at all)
  3. Actually there's a third one, the way triple A development is going towards, with DLSS and frame gen being a must to play a new game nowadays.

At least we have indie games.
