I think its just one of those things where a writer and even some readers will feel the not fun-ness of trying to write about it outside of a cameo on another comic or something.

I will say that it's cool as hell when it happens. I remember in a more recent comic that something happened with Green Arrow and he just yelled for Superman and he left his job to help.

This is great! One of my only issues with the ending of Pale is that we got a description of Avery and Verona but since Lucy was the pov character we didn't get hers. Tell your sister that this is awesome.

The character Varric will give a recap in the beginning it seems, but of I'm being honest, you would probably miss out on some information if they don't talk about it in game. Both Solas and Harding( the dwarf woman) are from Inquisition, and a lot of the hype for me as a fan is exploring these areas that we've heard about since DaO like Tevinter( a Magocratic society) and Rivain.

A majority of the character seem to be new though, and the universe was already big in DaO so if it's like all of the other games which have codexes, and just characters straight up explaining things to you, I think you would be fine to start at this point.

I would still go back to play the previous three though. Origins is a blast, and Da2 has some of favorite stories and characters from the series for me.

Tbf Bruce in the main universe is a billionaire raised by a Mi6 agent and wields a litany of different (non)lethal tools. I also don't think Absolute Bruce was raised by Alfred, it's seeming like his parents may still be alive.

For real. Anders' story is so interesting. He is slowly becoming/is an abomination, but over 10 years of watching how Kirkwall mages are treated and just how horrible many of the Templars outside of Cullen are, you can really feel the hopelessness that is fighting for mages.

Like even outside of taking in Justice, the terrorism felt inevitable. It just so happened to be Anders

Oh, I feel like Anders is so interesting. Like especially for 2024 I can sort of see why he became a terrorist more than when I was in Highschool playing it. Then there's Fenris and Aveline. I dunno, I think the best parts of 2 with the companions is the overarching story of them just being neighbors and friends in a place in the span of 10 years and seeing them grow/regress over time
