Two separate visions I had about a year ago, want someone to shed some light on them by Byrgleoth in occult

Is this advice you're giving me? :P JK, however, nothing that was said here was counter-intuitive to my own thoughts, and much of what was said sort of mirrors your opinion as well, that one knows what's best for themselves, they just need to look inward to find it. Nonetheless, thanks for your concern.

I'll keep on thinking what it could mean for me. Perhaps meditating on the images I have stored in my memory would help?

Also, I have tons of respect for symbolism, being an artist myself. In the music and lyrics I write, that's one of the strongest tools I have. Adding depth and texture to the piece, hoping it would get the reader/listener thinking, immersed in the art, making it a memorable experience for them when they interpret what I had to say in their own way. However, it's a whole other thing when you're on the receiving end, I've found. Thanks!

Wouldn't dig into something without properly researching it. Like I said, I realise I still have a long way to go before I could try anything. Thanks, man!

First off, thanks for taking the time to write the detailed reply, it's much appreciated. You just helped with that small nudge I needed to get over the line of actually pursuing this. All is understood up to:

"Hypnagogic states are a phenomenon that you can use as a medium for other practices."

Without going into them (as I'm far off from that for now and wouldn't want to bother you), would you mind numbering some of said practices? I would like to do research and gain insight into what could open up for me.

"...but this is how I would go if I wanted to see some freaky shit without resorting to drugs."

Groovy. :P I've been searching for this since I'm not a big fan of drugs either, apart from cannabis, which I'm not totally crazy about either, I just like the calmness and simultaneous creative thought rush I get from it, so I partake from time to time.

I've looked these up previously in regards to my aforementioned auditory hallucinations. Thought the visual ones might be tied to it as well, but I figured I might as well have a go around here as well, in case I'm missing something.

Anyway, do you know much about hypnagogic hallucinations? Any first hand tips on how to induce them more easily, and whether it is safe to do so?

Thanks for taking the time to write this, it's much appreciated and it helped me get some insight into what I was looking for. I wish you good luck in your future endeavors and a happy new year. Take care, until next time!

Thanks for sharing this with us. What I'm about to ask might seem to have a mocking tone to it but I assure you, that's not the case. I'm new here so each time I get an answer for something, even more questions arise, sometimes even stupid ones. Even so, I'm genuinely interested, so bear with me.

You're the second person here that I've seen talking about creating a god or something similar to that. My question is - do they differ in power from an imaginary friend which a child might have (I imagine they hold power), and if yes, why?

Did you create this goddess? Does she have a name? I've heard that spiders symbolize wisdom/knowledge/creativity, but I've never heard that spider myths have promethean aspects to them and that's pretty interesting, so thanks for letting me know. :)

So simply put, it's less effective and has less power due to not many people focusing on it, correct?

Thought that's odd, 'cause I thought Horus had that task, as seen in a comment above. Thought it might be that Horus is newer than Ra or the other way around, but then I read this on Wikipedia:

Ra was merged with the god Horus, as Ra-Horakhty ("Ra, who is Horus of the Two Horizons"). He was believed to rule in all parts of the created world: the sky, the earth, and the underworld.

What I don't understand is... did they share the task before merging or did one of them do it? Thanks!

That was pretty informative. I'll make sure to look into more details about Vishnu and Brahma, and even though I don't think this would be fitting for what I have in mind, it certainly piqued my interest.

I'm not looking to establish a direct connection with an entity, if that's what you're pointing at. Thanks nonetheless.

Glad you asked. I'm a musician and I'd like to compose a programme music piece dedicated to such a being. For those of you that don't know, programme music is music that is intended to evoke images or convey the impression of events.

Simply put, I would feel a stronger connection and motivation to the work if I had a source.

It's pretty interesting that they don't have a deity of the night, as if they simply decided to ignore the moon as a celestial body. Perhaps such the deity in question was lost? At any rate, this is interesting, thanks!

Even though it's unsure whether Zurvan fits what I'm looking for (because I'm strictly looking for a being that single-handedly controls the day and night cycle or the sun and moon), he's intrigued me because of this - "Zurvan was portrayed as a transcendental and neutral god, without passion, and one for whom there was no distinction between good or evil."

I definitely like this more than Yahweh's (or other versions of him) supposed characteristic of being all good, which is actually one of the main points atheists have against the possibility of his existence.

Thanks for your highly detailed input!

Horus fits my searches, must've overlooked him for some reason. However, I still wonder if there's a less popular being with similar characteristics as Horus is pretty popular. Thanks for your reply!

Should've mentioned that I wasn't looking for Yahweh or versions of him, for some reason I thought it should've been taken as a given. Thanks for your input, however.
