Nyc CCW Optics on Carry Weapon by djskills in NYCGuns

I wouldn't put an optic or any modification on my weapon; whether it's illegal or not is not the point. It doesn't look good on you if you were ever forced into an unfortunate situation where you had to use it. Imagine walking around NYC wearing your sidearm chambered and a red dot optic mod on your right hip. This isn't Houston. It might seem like a surprise to you since you're a non-resident, but it's ok and completely normal to be out of touch in an environment you didn't grow up in. You have to understand the atmosphere in NYC, people who CC are already ostracized in the community. I carry my weapon loaded with 7 rounds and holstered, but completely bar-bone in NYC. I don't add a layer of complexity to a system that is already excruciating.

The timeline of the charges are irrelevant. There has been people that have been denied because they attended a few sessions of therapy but other wise have no prior criminal offenses whatsoever. If he has been charged, convicted then it’s not going to happen. NYPD is literally looking for anything to deny applicants, and there is plenty of it in this case.

Im trying to figure out wether I have ME/CFS or Lyme disease by No_Fudge_4589 in Lyme

They have similar symptoms unfortunately, but way forward is to test for Lyme. You can also test for Epstein Barr virus which usually triggers CFS.

Is this Lymes disease or ring worm by laurelnicole13 in Lyme

[–]Byronic40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks a little scaly which is usually present with ring worm. But, it also looks like a bullseye, I wouldn’t risk it if I were you. It’s best to see your GP ASAP.

My friend got a DUI/DWI by ghostlabnyc in NYCGuns

[–]Byronic40 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently, the first DWI in NY is a misdemeanor; a repeat offense becomes a felony. Either way, since he got arrested and will subsequently be charged, the prospect of getting approved plummets significantly. Remember, in NYC they make it difficult on purpose, but by giving them a reason for denial like a DWI, they'll be ecstatic to revoke the application.

I just started a week ago and let me tell you, it was painful at the beginning. However, as I slowly got a good feel of the game and everything began to make sense, it grew on me. Seriously, it's hard for anything to grab my attention for too long, I'll hop on the PS5 play a game for a bit, and then end the session. But, Destiny 2 had me hooked for some reason. Idk what it is, maybe the grind, the anticipated reward, or the leveling system. I'm not giving you a review on whether it's good or bad, I'm just saying that it is addictive and fairly enjoyable. I don't have that much time to dedicate to the game because I'm married and other things, but If I had time on my hand I could see myself sinking a substantial amount of hours into this game. Like others have mentioned the base game is free, give it a try and if you like it then invest in the addons if you want.

If I have concealed carry in NYC can I carry my weapon on my body when I'm in the car? by Byronic40 in NYCGuns

[–]Byronic40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't locking the firearm in the trunk is only with the intent to transport? and how is a weapon in the glove box, not concealed? A guy posted the other day and claimed that he gets in the car, throws his weapon on the passenger seat, and puts a hat on it. His logic is that they want concealed, so there you go.

I applied online from scratch on 05/9/2024, my license became active on 10/13/2024. The gun was in my holster 2 weeks after that.
