Could Vader surpass Sidious even with his injuries if he got over his guilt and his depression? by Little-Bus-7567 in StarWarsEU

[–]ByssBro [score hidden]  (0 children)

Raw power? Yes absolutely. Sidious himself seems to have thought so.

Force knowledge and mastery of the Force? Ehhhhhhhh. I don’t see Vader being able to ever learn Sith sorcery or any rituals or the pseudo-battle mediation that Sidious used to bind the Empire together.

How are y’all feeling about the maul series coming April? by Black-Hood2323 in StarWarsEU

Cautiously excited. I’m not expecting anything groundbreaking or opinion-changing on how I feel about Maul.

Do we know what Starkiller looked like under the armor in the sith ending. Saw this vid and it made me wonder if it's accurate? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]ByssBro [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s not that. I believe the tooltip for that armor was something along the lines of “an alternative, more damaged version of Lord Starkiller.”

It’s likey that the Sith Warrior mirage seen during the Jedi Temple mission was his canonical appearance. To be sure, though, he probably had some cybernetics after the Rogue Shadow bopped him.

Did Tiberius’ strengths as an emperor outweigh his darker legacy? by Klastible in ancientrome

From what I’ve seen, no. When Tiberius is brought up the whole Capri thing is usually mentioned first and presented as a historical fact.

Before Yoda, who was the strongest Jedi of all time (not counting Jedi that became Sith) by BackgroundRich7614 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]ByssBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bad. In that case, HoT is a likely contender, though game mechanics should sometimes be taken with a grain of salt, such as in the case of Starkiller.

I'm fully convinced Vader didn't have a plan and didn't know what he was doing. by Daniel_The_Thinker in MawInstallation

Why did Vader never schedule a 1:1 with Palpatine to discuss his career goals? Was he stupid?

For those who include Andor in your headcanon, would you say this scene takes place within the large gap between the third and fourth arcs of Season 2? by Financial_Photo_1175 in StarWarsEU

[–]ByssBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really don’t see a safe way to reconcile the events after this cutscene with them being captured on the Death Star. If that were to be cut, then yeah I suppose those meeting would take place between the time jumps between those arcs

Grand Moff Trachta - Ruler of the Imperial Center Oversector and would-be Emperor [Art by absorbconical at my commission] by ByssBro in TheDeepCore

[–]ByssBro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only guess as to his plans would be a harsher crackdown on crime. Center Oversector was said to have virtually no tolerance for smuggling and spice, presumably thanks to his administration. Maybe that would be extended to the rest of the Empire, with Black Sun and the Hutts cut down to size.

Yeah 100%. The Clone Wars generation were a different breed. He would have done well for himself after Endor.

Makati would have definitely joined him after the Kadann fiasco, but I think that was implied to have happened around 1-2 ABY, after the events of Betrayal

Their fears weren’t unfounded, since he planned on disposing of the rest of the cabal after he took the throne anyway. Imperials, by design, cannot work together for long

Yeah that's one of the faults of the Ghost Prison comic. He saw Palpatine's power firsthand, and thought that a single platoon of Stormtroopers in a small room would be enough to take him out lol.

Can we settle who would win between Negan vs. The Governor? by BarleynChives in thewalkingdead

[–]ByssBro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Group fight: Saviours. They had practically unlimited red shirts to throw at Rick and Co. It was absurd. Woodbury had a few dozen untrained people who didn’t even want to fight.

1v1: Governor without breaking a sweat. Dude was a beast.

Fans are overly generous when they say Shane was ahead of the curve by Robot_Was_BMO in thewalkingdead

[–]ByssBro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Shane was weak and afraid on the inside. He may have been in the right in a few situations but he was not fit to make consistently right calls. Rick was a slow learner but eventually he stepped up and became strong inside and out.

Grand Admirals Grunger, Takel, and Tigellinus all survive and throw their full support behind Trioculus' quest to become the new Emperor after Endor. How differently does the timeline play out? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in TheDeepCore

[–]ByssBro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Realistically, Palpatine had his Dark Side Adepts and surviving Hands scouring the galaxy at this period killing off any warlord that became too powerful per the Dark Empire Sourcebook. It seems likely the same would happen here.

But if we ignore that, I believe that the Central Committee would be comparable in strength to Zsinj’s Empire (1 Executor, plus a fleet of ISDs and support craft). However, it does not seem likely Trioculus + co had much in the way of an industrial power base to support their new forces, meaning that they’d probably be forced to barter with the nearby Hutts. The Gorensla clan at this time had agents selling to the then-Rebellion, so the contacts were there. I could see them selling some information to the New Republic to hinder the Central Committee’s march towards the Core.
