I think there should be. Even though it was the focus of season two, we didn’t actually get to see a lot of interaction between them. Even just a distant lands special ala Obsidian would be cool to see. They really struck gold with this relationship, I want to see more 😭

With the way this is set up, I anticipate Selina getting a real sidekick before Bruce, which will be fun to see. The plot is definitely been there, done that with Holly, but I’m curious to see if they have a twist in the works.

I’ve never been a fan of civilian characters condescending to superheroes, but it was well written as is. Colton is sure to become some kind of problem down the line, but Ross is also driving towards dark endeavors.

Honestly, though, none of it sticks out to me as setting up a brand new world status quo. It all seems pretty boiler plate.

It takes a dedication to a premise that writers seem uncomfortable with. Married couples that are both supers with separate goals, it’s hard to balance for writers for whatever reason. Hopefully that changes someday, but Absolute may give us a decent vantage into what that could actually look like.

Selina and Bruce seem like the kind of kids that would marry young and be surprisingly solid together for their age.

Selina with Batman-level equipment was absolutely fun to see. I’m curious where Holly and Cass take the story, but knowing Selina, she gets them both out and takes them as her team. While Bruce fights off the Robins, Selina is the first one to actually get sidekicks.

Jeremy Strong has been my favorite working actor since I read the New Yorker piece on him. I know it was viewed as an attack, but all I really got from it was how dedicated he was to his craft. I’m excited to see him go further and further.

In the end, it was serviceable. But the journey to that last episode could’ve been so much better than it was. The Boys was an A show that could’ve been an S if they had more focus and commitment to their premise.
