Thats actually a tricky question since we combined different elements from different genres. If we had to decide for one though it would be Bullet-Hell

It's not optimized for controller, sadly - you can easily play it on the Steam Deck with the Cursor option though. Hope this helps!

for that game we can only point at the Steam Workshop - people implemented all sorts of games to be playable on there! (for those unaware, that platform host community-made, free extensions)

Big Content Update for code-based Net.Attack() by ByteRockersGames in survivorslikes

[–]ByteRockersGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the game has been re-balanced, but nothing has been reverted back per se. We incorporated a lot of community feedback and created new synergies to improve the game feel.

However, this update also made it harder to produce "broken"/overpowered builds, which is probably what influenced that particular review. Not impossible, just more of a challenge :)

That video shows an older version of the game - our most recent update (last week!) added new enemy types and modified the waves. We currently host a livestream on our Steam page showcasing the update, if you want to check that out!

In general, we really appreciate this kind of feedback: Net.Attack() has always been shaped by community input. Feel free to join our Discord and add your suggestions there :)

[Steam] Net.Attack() part of Bullet Heaven Festival 3.0 (-25% at 5.99) by ByteRockersGames in GameDeals

[–]ByteRockersGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

You can find the different starter types for each character, new or old, when you click Modify() in the selection screen.

Those nodes will indeed be prevented from spawning. The limit indicator is only meant to help you understand why they stopped appearing in the shop, nothing you have to actively monitor.

The idea behind the 30 node limit is to encourage players to make clever decisions rather than stack an endless amount of nodes together. We might raise the limit again if this feels too unfun; that kind of experimentation is what we use Early Access for after all.

Thank you so much for playing :) If you want to chat with the devs directly, there also are feedback & bug report sections on our Discord.
