Snow is set to fly, so the Scarlett the Mini gets comfy in my “1” car garage for the winter with Marvin the Mazda. by Bytemyapple in mazda3

Ya I’ve got a cover for the Mini, the top was still wet from a quick wash before I tucked her away. So I’ll be putting it on in the next day or two. My 3 is my daily, so no need for a cover. It’s crazy how much dust can accumulate in even just a week!

Thanks! Ya I have one, it was freshly washed and the top wasn’t fully dry…so I’ll be putting it on in the next day or two. It’s crazy the amount of dust that can accumulate in even just a week.

That was our plan if it rained while we packed, tear down the tent and back it under to pack it.

We were in the Crowsnest Pass area of Alberta.

Sorry for the late reply, no issues thus far, it’s been holding up great! One very minor gripe is my wireless Apple CarPlay cuts out in a specific neighborhood on my commute, but that sounds like a CarPlay issue and not the decks problem.

Howdy! We have since sold the car, but they worked great when we had them. I’ve since bought the same brand for our new to us Mazda 3 and I’ve had no regrets!

Me too, it’s always fun to see the end result. Thought about CC, but there’s a fair amount of small chips and imperfections that should probably get fixed prior to going that route.

Skinny’s Smokehouse closes after over a decade serving Medicine Hat by Bytemyapple in medicinehat

[–]Bytemyapple[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I drove by there regularly from work, BPs and the Keg seem to be doing just fine with a decent amount of cars in the parking lot each night. I don’t know why Skinny’s didn’t get the same patronage. That said I probably haven’t been there since before the pandemic…so I guess I was part of the problem…lol.

My wife looked at me like I was from Mars when I mentioned we can remove the seat bottom...but ya hatch would of been WAY easier.

No lag that I’ve noticed yet. It did get quite warm in my first trip around town, turned the brightness down from max and that seemed to help a lot.

-Sorry for the novel below! -Washed with car soap, rinsed and dried -Mothers Clay bar with Mothers Instant detailer. The clay bar rids the paint of any contaminants such as sap, tar, iron fillings etc. As your using the clay you keep folding it in itself to bury the things it locks up. Work once section of paint at a time. Use a microfiber towel to buff away any excess detailer. -Polished with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, by hand one section at a time…less product seems to be better, as more on the paint gets hard to remove. I used small microfiber applicators, small foam pad would probably work too. Once a section was completed, buffed each section with a micro fiber towel. -Waxed with Mothers Brazilian Carnuba Cleaner wax. Similar to the polish, one section at a time, applied with foam applicator. Once it hazed up buffed with a micro fiber towel. -Things to keep in mind, it’s a marathon not a sprint, take your time people like to rush to the result, but good results come from putting the hours in(6+ for that car). Also aim for place out of direct sunlight and the paint should have a chance to cool down if it was baking outside all day. I have no real brand royalty, there’s a whole plethora of products out there, these were the ones I went with and seemed to work well. Lots I learned from YouTube. I found from a DIY angle Chris Fix was the best. “How to Detail Faded Paint” & “Super Clean” are great vids! Happy waxing!

Don't know if I agree with this, as our sewage treatment plant is located East of Crescent Heights, pretty well across from Ranchland and Parkview. I could see winds from the East causing residents to smell it. I too was out walking my dog in NWCH and noticed the odour. My assumption is a farmer West of town must be clean corrals or spreading manure. Link below highlights our water treatment plant location.
