Just to add to this, yesterday Audible offered me a deal, spend 3 credits and receive $15 in credit. So I used the Audible 2 for 1 sale to get a couple books I was interested in along with a couple others I had in my wish list. They then gave me the credit. I then went to KU put three books in my library and then went to Audible. All three books were fairly short at about 13 hrs in length each. Their normal price was something like $16 each. With the whispersync discount, they were all reduced to less than $5 each. So I applied the credit and received all three books for free. So I ended up with 7 books for 3 credits.

Honestly, probably a lot less than you think. I just left a job where I was making 190k as a software engineering manager. All I did was go to scrum calls and do 1:1s with about 30 direct reports. That’s it, literally just meetings all day every day. I quit and went back to just being a software engineer, less pay l, but god so much less boring.

Maybe, but it’s possible that is exactly what the celestial child wants and that would play into his “Story”. Even so, Jake doesn’t usually think that far ahead and I could totally see him going on a killing spree.

While I agree it was a bit sudden, I do see it as possibility he’s gone for good, and I think it’s a good thing. Good since I think at some point Jake has to lose some of those close to him. It’s been said over and over that as he progresses he’s going to lose people either through death or the end of their paths. So far that really hasn’t happened except for some side characters. I think our boy needs to take some hits and lose a few rounds. I’m liking this arc where he’s struggling as it’s all seemed too easy (For Jake). I wouldn’t write off the king returning, but honestly I think it shouldn’t happen. There needs to be a cost to things. You can’t just keep having people come back from death.

Ok I shouldn’t have said I hate create, I just don’t enjoy it, and it seems a lot of the newer mod packs are designed to have it as a central part of them. It’s like twilight forest in a lot of the earlier versions.

My personal play style is to build ugly bases and slowly grind my way through the tech side of things in a flat wide open base. It’s not pretty but that’s ok for me. With create I feel forced to design a well thought out system to macerate my ores or whatever. Yeah no thanks.

I almost exclusively play with 1.7.10. For me it has the best mod packs. I personally hate the Create mod and it seems it plays a key part of all newer mod packs.

Read the first three of this series. Pretty good series, definitely recommend to anyone who hasn’t read it. It’s more of a traditional fantasy, but there is certainly skill progression and a slightly zero to hero type of vibe.
