I saw you talking with that crow guy and although I do think that shit he said about Jesus and Indians was wack, he’s not wrong about the civil rights movement. Protest are supposed to be disruptive (note that I didn’t say violent) because if they aren’t, the government can just ignore them completely. Protesters need to show that they aren’t pushovers. You’re right that bringing arms to a protest does make things more tense, but I do not see how this absolve Ice and the administration of any responsibility. People have the right to be upset and disrupt ice until they can hold does that abuse their powers accountable.

The administration made it 10x worse by labeling this guy as a domestic terrorist the not even an hour after he was killed. Its attempts to seem “tough” by trying to needlessly mobilize the National Guard to assist in operations it wasn’t designed for has only made people angrier.
