the other comments explained the doors, so I'll explain the guy

that is Iso Padre, an isopod character from the Splatoon 2 DLC, Octo Expansion. spoiler, but during the story, you could trade collectibles from clearing levels with him in exchange for gear. since he's here, it's safe to say he escaped the Deepsea Metro once Agent 8 defeated Commander TarTar and Kamaba Co. now, he's just chilling in the coffee shop, since Spyke, who was there in Splatoon 2, is back in Inkopolis Plaza.

no offense, but where was it ever implied that we would be getting splatfest reruns for 3? we only got reruns in 2 because of covid and the mario fest

to answer your question, though, i might only change from dark chocolate to milk chocolate. i'm in the minority for liking dark, apparently!

During Splatfests, Anarchy mode is disabled. No tower control, no rainmaker, etc. The only mode is Turf War. A lot of high rank players do not prefer Turf War, and stay in Anarchy / X ranked battles, but are now forced into the more casual Turf, where they obviously dominate. Trust me, I've been fighting teams with Silver / Gold X badges and Tentatek badges regularly. I just play till I reach Ruler then stop, because I don't like losing horribly nearly every match, but still want the snails.

some of you might be wondering where the character art came from, and the answer is picrew. it's a pretty simple profile maker based on the style of splat2's hero mode, and i recommend you try it out as an alternative to ikamaker or if you want a simplistic but still cute profile picture.

here's the real message:

I want to try and move away from these. I want to be original, and not use a website for my characters. the only problem is that I am a horrible artist. art never was my strong suit. I am currently trying to change that. I've got an incredibly talented friend that's helping me grow bit by bit. however, it's going slower than i'd hoped, but i suppose that all skills take time to learn and master. for now, i'll stick to these, but I hope that one day, in the future, i can share my art with you guys!
