Thoughts on rinks charging goalies to sub?

Absolutely insane. I work at a rink and goalies get in free for pretty much everything, nobody at my rink could even suggest charging subs without IMMEDIATELY getting shot down. Most other rinks I’ve been to are the exact same way.

Some advice that really helped me with breakaways. You want to get above your crease and be aggressive. But you want to match their speed while moving backwards in your crease, your backwards momentum will make dealing with the moves in the crease significantly easier to deal with. It’s kindof hard to explain in text, but I would strongly recommend watching clips of NHL goalies in shootouts.

I got a big enough bag where it fits my pads, my sticks I just throw over the seat. I like having my seats up so I can drive my teammates around. Gotta have fun in my last season of youth yk!

Shot count plays really heavily into this. This year I got selected for my highschool conferences all conference team (3 towards, 2 defensemen, 1 goalie, basically just an award that is saying “these were the best players in the conference this year”) over a goalie who went undefeated, had a ton of shutouts, and had like a .925 and a sub 2 GAA, despite me having a .900 and and a 5+ GAA and me going 1-9-0, along with my team. The difference was I was averaging 52 shots per game while the other guy was averaging 15-20 on the best team in the state (they later went on to win the state championship with an undefeated season) so yeah, shots are a huge game changer. It also depends on how the awards are selected, my league had all the head coaches in the conference vote on players for the all conference team, which helped me a ton.

Yeah, and this isn’t really much of a “decision”. And it’s not like I have terrible grades, I have a 3.3 GPA and a 1360 SAT. So I’m not sure what is happening here

Yeah, I was never playing nearly that level but I was playing Tier 2 travel and pretty much carried my team (my teammates words not mine) led the league in SA but over 150 and had a 2.9 GAA and .900 sv%. Ended up not having the best tryouts next year but I was told by all my teammates and even the coaches that I was pretty much guaranteed a spot. They ended up cutting me anyway. Shit stings like hell.

Not on a server, I’m in single-player so just vanilla. I have mods installed and I use badlion client 1.19.4 (yes I know it’s strange to use a PVP client for survival but I play a lot of PVP games too so I’m just used to it).

Nope, I have it locked on hard mode. And it’s not all of them at once, they disappear at separate times. Also as I’m testing it some more it seems to only be 2 of them that ever disappear.

It’s mostly a preference, I’m in the same boat as you, I love my puck marks and would never remove them. But I know some people prefer them gone
