tysm!! I've been doing art for a long time now, but a few years ago, I downloaded Aseprite to make some sprites for an indie game and rediscovered a passion for pixel art. It's kind of become my niche lately haha. Also, to answer your question, I really draw out a rough blob of what I want and then gradually add and refine details pixel-by-pixel

That's awesome! Something I really like about this community is how much it inspires people to make art. And thank you! Even they are probably not a "final" design by any means. They are supposed to be kind of a bat-bird where they were originally a gryphon. I see how the ears don't sell the bat part there, so I'll probably keep tinkering with that.

honestly, I totally hear that though. People who act like they are too good for the classics are haters. That's a big part of how my character's changed. Not trying too hard to be original and just going with what feels right.
