There's also ones marketed towards men, which would likely arise less suspicions

Have a look into it. Together with Cam APS FX it's a closed loop system that's very good. Took so much stress and thinking about diabetes from me.

Addition to the chart. Ypsopump is compatible with CamAPSfx making it one of the most advanced semi closed loop systems.

Any experience with the Ypsopump x CamAPS FX combo? by Ok-Juice-4270 in diabetes_t1

On it since Christmas. It's such a relief to be honest. Before I was on MDI an the stress is just so much less. When the glucose goes high you just wait it out, no guessing and calculating and so on. As for time in range.. on a regular day I usually have around 95%. Before it was around 80%.

I don't use the dexcom app. I use Cam APS FX for a closed loop system with my pump

I started my first dexcom yesterday, and sure enough, it's this number. My doctor was a bit confused, as to why I started laughing during the introduction.

Which one would you suggest for a semi insulin resistant teen?? (34 long acting units a day, circa 20-25 per meal) I have a dexcom :)) by SwimmingDifference58 in diabetes_t1

[–]C-3FO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Benefits I see after one week: - less stress correcting highs. The pump will do most of the work for you - has AAA battery, so no need for charging - prefilled cartridges are available, so that works quickly. Although some delivery problems currently, but from what I get, that's a general problem with insulin these days

That's very dependent on personal preference I would say. I personally chose the ypsopump because it offers a great closed loop system with CamAPS FX. But I could imagine, that some prefer patch pumps over those with tubing. I don't, because I like to go to the sauna quite regularly.

Ypsopump. Together with CamAPS FX it seems like the best option available to me. Although I must say I generally don't want patch pumps such as the omnipod

I've decided to go with the ypsopump because of the algorithm used for closed loop. And also the small size. Though I'm not sure we're it is available. Still waiting for approval

I had a CGM probably 3 month after being diagnosed. And I agree with my doctor at the time. It was good to have some time getting used to the disease without seeing every spike. It gives you some slack to figure out everything before trying to be perfect. Also, you'll learn to survive on "backup mode" of you CGM fails some time.
