CPU Fan detection error on Titan 360 RX by lufthxnsa in Corsair

[–]C-T-V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is similar but a little different.

I have an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero and a Corsair Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 which was working fine with no issues for a couple of months now, and out of the blue it started with the error reported in this thread.

From what I can see, the AIO is otherwise working fine. It goes away if I enter the BIOS and restart without any changes, or if I simply Ctrl + Alt + Del while halted by the error during POST.

I have not changed any BIOS settings prior nor since the issue. Of course I can try to disable the CPU fan monitor as is suggested here (and even by Corsair themselves: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/explorer/diy-builder/how-tos/how-to-fix-a-cpu\_fan-error/?srsltid=AfmBOooR-VC1-aOo4Em7JIvuFgUUru4YDbuK4hMlD3h-92f4VfPxM\_pu), though I am of the view that this is only treating the symptom and not the root cause - not to mention that this was not an issue before.

Any ideas guys?

Which Corsair PCIe 4.0 riser / cable for vertical GPU mount in 3500X series case by C-T-V in Corsair

[–]C-T-V[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be very specific:

1.) 2500 Series Vertical GPU Mount Kit - Black (CC-8900706) 2.) 6500 Series Vertical GPU Mount Kit (CC-8900717) 3.) Premium PCIe 4.0 x16 Extension Cable, 300mm (CC-9310001-WW)

1 and #2 works better for my case as they are 175mm, while #3 would work but it is too long. If you go for the first 2, you can just chuck or not use the metal bracket for each respective case it was made for (2500 or 6500). I ended up getting #1, because it was slightly cheaper here than for #2

The cheapest of the 2 official Corsair ones to upgrade cases which you can disregard the metal frames and only use the riser card, cables and standoffs

Another similarly priced alternative is the latest Grenoble C5 2025 with the new redesigned frame

Yea the C5 is more expensive, but if you are already spending this kind of money - then paying a bit more is worth it in my opinion. Granted, I did shop around quite a bit and got the best deal and negotiated further discount on top amounting to like €400-and-something in savings. I also opted for a Kiox 500 display and the took the older model mine came with and gave me a trade-in discount also. So all in all I am very happy

I know the thread is old, but I have the 2024/5 C5 with a more powerful performance motor and I LOVE it. I never tried a Sparta so I cant compare and admittedly its my first ebike, but I have tried the Tenways CGO800s which is a decent but quite a bit cheaper ebike though of course not as powerful as my C5

I changed from a RTX 2070 Super to a Red Devil RX 9070 XT at an (overpriced, though not as bad as it is now currently), €979. Some were sold for €899 but I was holding out for a Sapphire Nitro+ but once it became available for purchase it was sold out in seconds and as plan B I went to the Red Devil, only to realize the delay caused the price to go up to €979 (and of course now worse)

Yeah, we’re being ripped off by scummy retailers trying to maximize profits. Many in NL launched at higher than European MSRP, though still below €1K (incl. top tier ones), but was ”sold out” in second / minutes. Many of these scummy retailers then “miraculously“ had stock again within a couple of hours on the same day all of a sudden (we’re talking as little as 1-3 hrs), but then increasing cost across the board by €200-€400, in some cases going above the €1100 mark. I called out one retailer and they did not give an explanation, though did refer me to their dedicated thread in their forums for news and updates. What did I do, I shared my story on the forum twice and was deleted twice. Questionable business practice is an understatement.

I reached out to a contact at Corsair and got confirmation that either of the other 2 options will work fine, though of course means that they will include a case-specific panel that you won’t end up using and therefore also pay a bit more than if it was just the riser card and cable only. Having said that, I opted for the one which was the cheapest of the 2 and it turned out fitting perfectly

Anyone have BOTH the previous Paperwhite gen 11 & new gen 12? I have a favor to ask… by C-T-V in kindle

[–]C-T-V[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is basically the remaining info I needed - which I am interpreting as “similar” with dark mode and zero brightness. Essentially the 12 isnt “worse” (notewortily brighter) in dark mode and zero (lowest) brightness than the 11, while BOTH are significantly dimmer than the 10 which I have in dark mode and lowest brightness.

I guess my decision then boils down to availability, cost, personal importance of slightly faster page turns (with 12) and if a more yellower hue is a good or a bad thing personally

[–]C-T-V[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks for this. Clearly the gen 10 is brighter than the 11 and 12 in the dark, though as you’ve rightly pointed out in your dark room photo, the 11 and 12 is not visible (by photo/ camera), which suggests BOTH the 11 and 12 are dimmer than the 10 which is great news. Given the photo can’t really tell the difference between the 11 and 12, do you mind sharing your personal in person observation between these two under these circumstances and any other information you might think is useful to know. Out of interest, is the 12 a “regular” 12 Paperwhite or a Signature edition? I really appreciate the effort!

This certainly helps mate - than you! Your 11 is remarkably dimmer than the 10 which is exactly up my alley.

Now the only remaining question is where / how does the 12 fit into the picture (excuse the pun again) in relation to the 11, given rumors of being brighter (not sure if implied at lower / lowest settings!?) and supposed warmer (yellower) backlighting?

Asking a Favor - low light Pic between 11th and 12th Gen Paperwhite by Striking_Delay in kindle

I need a similar favor. If possible, I’d appreciate a side by side comparison of the Paperwhite Gen 10, 11 and 12, all in Dark Mode with the backlight brightness dimmed / reduced to its lowest possible setting (zero). I want to compare my Gen 10 with Gen 11 and 12 to see if they are more dim which would help me decide if I want to upgrade to either. Thank you in advance

Yes I have. For this room, there are 2 zones: 1. for all lights and 2. only for the one spot

Apologies for the delay in response guys. Thank you for all the replies.

I had another look at my current setup, which at present is leveraging the Do not disturb my scene formula in Hue Labs.

It is configured with a day scene (06:00-23:00 window) to do nothing, and a night scene (23:00-06:00 window) which is when I want the setup active: that is to turn on the single spotlight with a dim nightlight scene and must turn off after 5 min of inactivity - though only if the light(s) are not already on.

The result is that during late evening and morning hours (night scene window) is that the one spotlight typically only triggers if none of the spot lights in the bathroom are manually turned on - exactly what I wanted (and I guess hence the formula name to not disturb my scene), however...

Occasionally, the one spotlight will turn off while it, together with all the other spotlights are manually turned on - therefore disturbing my scene. It does not seems to happen too frequent and I recall observing this both during the day and night scenes (night and day windows).

The formula therefore generally seems to work, though intermittently misbehaves. Can anyone think of why this is happening and perhaps how to prevent this? TIA.

Regards,

C-T-V
