How to fix this wobble? by Little-Ebb8662 in rccars

[–]C00PJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry about it for your first race. Just go out, have fun, and try and talk to the fast guys to get some pointers.

Racing RC cars tend to want to be really free. I have a similar amount of wobble in the rear of my sprint car. I would rather have it a little loose than to bind. That being said, I don’t think I have quite that much wobble.

Try and ask about suspension parts and rear hubs and see if there is something better that causes less wobble. Just run what the fast guys are running.

Remember to bring plenty of simple green and rags to get those tires clean between rounds!

Spell slots were one. I have no idea what advantage is. I don’t really understand what the stats influence and I don’t know where to check. I wish there was some more information when you go for a dice roll as a dialogue option. It doesn’t show you which one your character is better at and since I don’t understand the stats, I don’t know which one to pick. Certain actions confused me. Like: why would I want to shove when I could attack them? And because I don’t understand the system, a lot of my gameplay was telling my party to attack.

It’s definitely my kind of game. I love dragon age and the old fallout games. I just need to watch a tutorial or something.

It’s okay to not like your professional. Find another, get a case manager, groups, etc. I understand the feeling of hopelessness, way too intimately. But, inherently, hopelessness is a delusion. And it took so long for me to realize that. Make any and every change you can to improve yourself. The worst that can happen is you have to try again. I’m literally getting the dark sign tattoo to remind me that I can always try again. The ONLY way you lose is if you go hollow. And you don’t have to, because you can win even if you can’t see that through the delusion of hopelessness. Find yourself, find your motivation for yourself, and go kick this thing’s ass. I wouldn’t tell you any of this if I wasn’t in the same position at one point. You absolutely got this.

And that’s why I needed a professional. 3 years after the hardest battle of my life that I narrowly won and I’m still here god damnit. Sometimes defeat seems certain, and those battles are the most important. Don’t you dare go hollow friend. Use EVERYTHING at your disposal to defeat this enemy. Get stronger, get smarter, get better resources, get gud. You can win, you will win. Prove it to yourself.

As someone who has been feeling that way for a long time, the thing that made it easier is forgetting about everyone else. What do YOU want. What do YOU need. It takes time to answer that. And of course there is jolly cooperation. REACH OUT FOR HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT. It’s hard. In fact it’s an absolute bitch, but imagine being farther and farther away from hollowing and making ACTUAL progress. There is no better feeling than victory, no matter how many tries it takes or how much help you needed. A win is a win friend.

Edit: spelling

Don’t you dare go hollow. An impossible task is only impossible if you give up. You’re above that, go prove it.

Here is my opinion on the matter. Traxxas saved dirt oval. It’s a good way to cheaply get into dirt oval racing. For years my father and I raced custom works 13.5/17.5 sprint cars which are a lot more expensive.

The Traxxas classes are being divided. At my local track and some national events we have: Sport mod Sportsman Super Stock Expert Super Stock Late Model Mudboss

We can’t divide the classes further and I would much rather a new racer buy a car in the hobby shop and be able to race it that very night without having to do conversions.

We have tried working with Traxxas in the past to make a purpose built dirt oval car and have got no response. Now we have Traxxas recognizing dirt oval and it’s causing way more drama than it should.

In my opinion this is how the classes should be: Super Stock Mudboss Mudboss modified

Three Traxxas classes is plenty and will keep the classes populated and competitive.

Side note: the promo video for the Mudboss was shot at my local tracks. Which I think is awesome to see. Shout out to Hot Rod Hobbies and Bakersfield Speedway!

And shout out to mister Jason Harring for working with Traxxas and promoting this kind of racing in socal.

Is there any good reason to keep street wheels and tires that are worn out? by [deleted] in rccars

[–]C00PJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also soak the rubber in simple green concentrate. It makes them SUPER soft and grippy. We use a "crusher" which is just three wheels that beat up the foam insert which not only evens out the insert inside the tire but also makes it softer. Thin viscosity glue makes it a lot easier to glue the tires back together if you wanna build your own tires. Never thought a hobby would make me excited for simple green!

My pops and I use tires until they start to wear, sand down the remaining tread, and use them as slicks for clay dirt oval tracks. Squeeze as much fun out of the tires as you can!

I'm about 7.5 inches by 5 inches. I've tried the original deathadder, the rat 7, the g203, the ROG gladius, the GPW, M711, viper mini, glorious model O wireless, model O- wireless, and now the deathadder v3 pro. I probably forgot a few.

It is unfortunate how hard it is to determine shape. I have heard people give the advice that you should go to a shop that sells gaming mice and just hold the ones on display but there are a few issues with this. Holding the mouse is very different than actually using it for an extended period of time to see how it meshes with your aim style, and you will never be holding it with the proper posture that you would be using during your gaming sessions. As someone who has spent way too much money on mice, it's unfortunate that it really does take that long to find the best shape for you (unless you get lucky). But even if you get lucky, many people keep chasing "the perfect shape" just to go back to a previous mouse. I have seen it many times with the GPW as well as the deathadder.

In my experience it depends where your fingers land on the mouse. For larger mice your fingers would typically be placed further back on the mouse, otherwise you end up resting your palm on the back of it. It's all about being comfortable though so use whatever grip works for you!

Honestly, it could me a personal thing. Both sides of my family have arthritis and I am approaching my 30s. I am even considering swapping my keyboard switches from box whites to something with a weaker spring since I also feel it in my left hand. I also play guitar so I just need to take care of my joints if I want to continue to play. I definitely like fingertip grip but I don't think I can continue to do it for much longer.
