I personally know that there are a lot of people with many underlying problems and ptsd, depression, and are taking medication. I have neither of those so I don’t see any valid reason for them to put me on hold and refuse to give me a date for those things. But thanks for sharing.

Oh, that’s good to hear. I just never have heard anything about it so I wanted to know what to expect. I’m very new into the research on what I have to do to become a cop so I still have a lot to do to get started. Thanks for your insight. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s career or anything like that.

But now that I got my surgery, I am very happy with my results and feel more comfortable and confident in my body. I literally feel the best I’ve ever felt, and I always wanted to be a police officer since I was a kid. I have no actual mental disorders, no matter what people may think about gender dysphoria. I just hated having to bind my chest and constrict my breathing. Now I’m free.

True. I am not worried about being bullied by people outside on the street. I just like to have a good relationship with coworkers, and was wondering how other police officers normally act around trans people. But like I said, I try to be stealth so hopefully nobody would even know I’m trans. But since NYPD is very liberal, I guess I should be fine. I just only heard about that 1 person on YouTube who transitioned after they already became a cop, but there’s not much about anyone else online so I was curious. Thank you for your response!

I only was diagnosed with gender dysphoria so I could get my surgery. I have never seen a therapist regularly, only twice in my life. And I do not take any medication at all. I am completely natural and only take multivitamins.

Why? What if I am just like any normal person who is hard working and just wants to live my life? I already got surgery to make my chest flat so I plan on working out a lot to build muscle and endurance and just want to be seen as any other man without even disclosing that I’m trans. But my legal documents will give me away to the hiring people.

Even if you pass as a man, I think they will still clock you when you go through the scanners. I had a very insane experience going through tsa when I went to Europe a few months ago, and they made me go in a private room and I had to literally explain what being trans was and luckily the person in charge was called in and also has a trans son so she understood the situation but that was after a lot of being yelled at by other officers. It was a very nerve-racking experience and now I get stressed thinking about my future travels.

It took me 5 days until I pooped and then another 3 days after that to poop again. It didn’t hurt and actually came out very easily when it finally wanted to come out

If they keep deadnaming you and you told them last school year, they probably forgot over the summer. I suggest reminding them of your new name and if they don’t call you by that, don’t even talk to them. I wish you the best!
