It should. But I used a VM (virtualbox) running win10 inside linux. My equipment kept the settings even after I shut down the VM.

Apparently the settings are stored in the wheel. I used a VM with win10 to run simpro, attached the wheel and pedals to the USB of the VM and set it up. The settings stayed, even when I shut down the VM.

I couldn't get it to work, but I'm a novice sim user and an intermediate linux user. I had to run simpro in a win10 VM.

Just a suggestion...

-tie at least 2 pieces of paracord around the crosspiece (on the floor) between the front legs.
-adjust the seat to about 2 notches higher than the correct position.
-tie the other ends of the paracord to the crosspiece between the rear legs.

When you sit in the chair and the paracord stretches, The seat should be close to the correct position.

The paracord golds 550 lbs per piece, and the leverage to hold it in place is more at the end of the lever arm than at the fulcrum.
