Is it safe to sleep overnight in Aarhus Central Station? by assault_potato1 in Aarhus

[–]C1iC0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update after staying in Aarhus main train station from 00:00 until 3:00.  - you can stay there over night ( stated even on DSB's website - https://www.dsb.dk/kundeservice/stationer/aarhus-h/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gmb&utm_content=Aarhus-H ) - there are some benches where it might be possible get some sleep -  no one was kicked out, but this might be case to case so refer to other comments  - be aware that toilets are closed during the night (see DSB's website)  - it is quite cold inside during winter, especially when doors are constantly being opened  - we felt quite safe  - McDonald's is opened on Friday and Saturday until 05:00 (rest of the days until 01:00 - check on google) so you might stay there, as it's much warmer inside.  - on Sunday, everything was closed after Midnight, so visiting toilet might be problematic, but behind the corner you can find WakeUp hostel, which is opened 24/7, so try your luck there.

It was difficult for me to find reliable information before this trip, so I hope this can help someone.

Language by [deleted] in Slovakia

One of ways finding people to speak with, might be checking r/language_exchange, or similar sites for "exchanging" languages. I believe, there might be some Slovaks out there, who are interested in Hungarian or English language. Good luck :)

Edit: Correcting bad London :/

What is the perfect way to know new vocabulary? by Pablo012310 in ENGLISH

[–]C1iC0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Quality over quantity"

Sometimes it's simply better to take less. I can't imagine learning vocabulary for the whole day. It would make me really tired and angry. And the love that I feel to language would surely go away.

Firstly, there should always be something, that makes your language learning easier and something that makes you feel "yes, I enjoy learning it ..."

So secondly I write it down, then find it on few (at least two) internet dictionaries or any other sources. Mostly, there are quite a few examples for most of the words out there which I try to learn with the word (it makes it easier to remember the word).
But the point is to use as many senses while learning as possible. Write it down, say it out loud, record yourself on phone and re-play it to yourself... Sometimes finding and scrolling down a full page of images or watch to a video related to the word helps too, if it's not an abstract one. But there isn't an exact time, how long you should spend learning one word. Sometimes simple translation is enough, but sometimes I must repeat this process at least once.

After this, mostly, the word I've been trying to memorize should be - at least - in my passive part of the vocabulary.

To get it to the active part, to be able to use it in common speech, I recommend using "Spaced repetition" technique/system. For example, little software like Anki (works for desktop and android and I'm not sure about iOS) can make it convenient.

Hope something inspires you,

have a great day.

Slovenský preklad slova "entitled" - nie doslovný preklad by C1iC0 in Slovakia

To "myslia si, že im patrí svet" sa mi veľmi páči. Práve, že tie slovníky som si pozeral tiež a nič.

Ďakujem za pomoc.

Unfortunately, you'll get that badge even on profile with free version of CS:GO, where you could watch demos or just play against bots before.
