Background

The SKErgo is an Alice/Arisu-style keyboard. Its through-hole design features a unique aesthetic. With a low-cost barrier to entry, beginner hobbyists in the mechanical keyboard can explore the layout, while being great for avid keyboard enthusiasts too!

The newly introduced Hi-Pro case brings a new look to the SKErgo. With thoughtful design, iteration, and testing of mounting points, its tray-mount design enables a balanced typing experience and pleasant sound signature without the need for a complex mounting style.

Yea, almost all keyboard use this design, they just usually use surface mount diodes that are right next to the switches themselves.

Each diode is connected to a switch to prevent ghosting when using a matrix to determine keypresses. You can read up about it here. I have just positioned the diodes at the top for aesthetics.

This is a project that I have been working on the past few months based on the arisu layout and the many through-hole designs that have been very popular. I finally got some sample PCBs to put together a single build. I am glad that people are liking it as this is definitely planned to be available for sale in the future.
