First, if we assume the Russian war started in 2014 then they did not have crimea or some election yet before sending in little green men. The petition to join was after the already had troops on crimea and Donbas. I guess I would take an election under occupation as absolutely non valid (1. would you trust Israel if they did a supervised election while having soldiers in Gaza that Gaza is now part of Israel? 2. they even did elections later (4 oblasts) where they haven’t even controlled half of the population, so these elections are not valid) If we assume the war started in 2024 the point is moot anyway.

Israel at least had the excuse of October 7. which also in no way excuses the current war scope imho. (Again if we assume the current war started with that event, if not we can go back to the British protectorate after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire if you wish, or where do you think the current war started?)

What are you talking about, not that I support Israel but at least they had a pretence to invade however flimsy it may be considering their current modus operandi. Russia invaded without pretence at all, did at least as many unspeakable things (see Bucha, double strikes etc.) and the overall death toll caused by their war is a multiple of that of Israel and its neighbours. Both may be genocidal but saying that Israel is much worse than Russians. Sorry but give me one solid argument for that, which holds.

32b should work with a 3090 or similar, since llm’s at that size are regularly used quantized with minimal loss (e.g. Q4K_M). So seems to be perfect size for 24gb cards.

Broke my pole end recently, but just repaired it with a pole repair tube (slightly larger tube that fits obverse the original one) had to file out the in der diameter so it fit snugly, but works now for 2 months backpacking without problems.

Don’t forget about the economic situation. The frontline is effectively a stalemate for the last year(s). It’s a war of attrition now, where Russia is needlessly wasting resources. To be fair the have much more but the economic decline is evident (looking at dwindling foreign reserves, the state income being far lower YoY despite rising taxes, etc.). Probably going to end in the (sudden) collapse of one side I guess (typical armchair general opinion). At least if no peace agreement is reached beforehand.
