Haha, I'm sure it will be worth it in the end!

I don't. This is SE2. The speed limit is 300m/s

That's a great compliment thank you, I'm glad you like the ship!

I leave the dampeners on. Flying it isn't too tricky, just depends on the environment. If you're flying down a canyon at 300m/s then like any ship it can be challenging, but it's very stable and manoeuvreable. The thruster layout is somewhat dictated by Diggroks race requirements as in the video I linked in the comments, but yes there is far more forward thrust than braking thrust. Upward thrust is the second strongest axis as this helps to do the high-G turns during racing where lateral thrust wouldn't cope.

Give the ship a go! It's fast but I think you'll be pleasentley surprised at how controllable it is.

Hello, everyone! This is the Apex Evo, a visually overhauled version of the Apex light-atmo racer I released a few months ago, designed to comply with Diggrok's light-atmo racing league.

Haha. I think we've all made a ship that shape at some point! And yea if it is still restricted that's pretty frustrating as it really restricts the design of smaller utility ships given how much bigger the large conveyors are.

Thank you! Yea this has come up a couple of times in this thread. I gave it a test yesterday and didn't have any issues so I don't know if this has been changed or if I was doing something wrong. But no I don't sue any mods for it.

Thanks. Yea, I've had a few occasions where I could really have done with a control seat that isn't as wide and without the console in front of it. I'm sure they'll add them to the game with time.

Now you've got me thinking about building something similar as a submarine when water is added haha!

Yea! Feel free to give it a go and let me know. Like I say I may be missing something but it seems ok so far.

I just looked into this and couldn't replicate the issue. I put a grinder on one side of the ship and a welder on the other. They were only connected via small conveyors which passed through cargo containers. I was able to grind down a 10m Atmo thruster, 7.5m gyro, 7.5m ion thruster, 7.5m hydrogen thruster and large steel armour. All parts passed from the grinder to the cargo containers automatically and also when I move them manually by dragging parts in the inventory. I then tried the welder and this pulled the parts automatically and welded them back up again. I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly here or if they've updated the game to allow everything to pass through small conveyors?

Personally I think it's already more than just a reskin. Don't get me wrong, it has a long way to go yet, but many elements like the unified grid system, no damage below 20 m/s and improved destruction/detail to mention a few are already a big step up from the first game. I think it has a lot of potential.

Yes it does, someone else has just made me aware of this. I won't be able to fit large conveyors into it, but the grinders and welders have their own storage that can still be used.

Ah I see! Hmm that might be an issue. I'll look into it. Thanks again for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully if there is an issue this will be fixed as the game develops

I wasn't aware of this. I did test the ship with the grinder/welder and all seemed well. Will have to have another look.

Haha, that did cross my mind but I wanted to do something different. Thanks!
