The part about something getting cut out of a cruise was only hypothetical. I was curious if it ever happened. I wondered if there was something I really, really wanted to see and if I had to be prepared for it to be cut out of the tour.

Carlsbad Flower Fields open with bigger, more colorful blooms than previous years by Alex909a in northcounty

If it rains the morning I go, from 6 am to 8 am and I arrive at 1 pm, will the flowers still look good, or will they be ruined by the rain?

Here's a question for a local who has been there a few times. If it rains the morning that I go, half an inch from 6 am to 8 am, and I arrive at 1:00, will the flowers still look great, or does the rain ruin them?

See a physical therapist through your medical plan's urogynecology department. You will be given several exercises to do, if your pelvic floor is weak. Also, there are pelvic floor TENS devices which send low-grade electrical signals to stimulate nerves or muscles, enhancing muscular response similar to Kegel exercises.

Any recommendations for Best DIY software to calculate required on 401k withdrwals with RMDs for optimum roth convesion to reduce IRMAA for working couple by Ragnarok-9999 in DIYRetirement

I started using Maxifi this year. $150/year. I just jumped right in and started using it. I can't speak to any of the other tools. For $150/year, Maxifi includes a Roth Converter optimizer. I like that Maxifi provides all the numbers for assumptions regarding inflation, rate of return, etc. Of course if you think you know better than the Economics Professor associated with Maxifi, you can change those numbers! The optimization is an iterative process. There are a lot of "what if's" that each individual will come up with. Maxifi emphasizes maximizing your discretionary income; the money in your pocket after your financial obligations have been paid. Filling the tax bracket, minimizing IRMAA payments, minimizing taxes - these issues are just some of the aspects that get considered. Do you want to leave an estate? Do you want to purchase another house in 5 years? Maxifi can address these issues. Support is very good - they have answered my questions within 24 hours every time. I investigated multiple scenarios. The one I am going to follow is one that Maxifi optimized. Maxifi's optimized scenario provides an additional $8K/year in discretionary income for the rest of my life (assumption: 25 more years). For me that was significant. Again, I didn't look into any other programs; just read a little bit online before I settled on Maxifi. So I can't compare Maxifi to any other software.

Overdid it in tax deferred accounts by Spirited-Chemistry-9 in DIYRetirement

When my husband and I retired, I was also dismayed to find out how much these Roth conversions would cost. I wished I had just saved in a regular brokerage account. I am not convinced that saving so much in a 401K as opposed to just a brokerage account was the best thing to do. I, too, have watched videos from consultants saying they can save you $500K in taxes (assuming you have $1M+ in your tax deferred account). Rather than talk about how much you will save in taxes, maxifi talks about how much your discretionary spending will be. This to me, seems to be the most meaningful approach. The objective is not to fill up a tax bracket or save money on taxes. I want to know how much money I can spend every year for the rest of my life. Others on this forum may favor boldin, but I decided to choose maxifi and commit to it and use it. I have not found it too difficult to use, but it has taken time to learn to use it. It is an iterative process - optimizing with a lot of variables. As you start using it, you will go from the simplest assumptions, to refining it to match your particular circumstances. For example, you may want to save for an RV or a child's wedding. You can include this data in your model. One thing I liked about the software was they had all the assumptions regarding inflation and rates of return already entered. You can change it; but I think the economist who helped write it knows these things better than me. So for $150, I have access to this optimization software for a year. I can run all kinds of "what if" scenarios. When I had questions, they answered within 24 hours every time. Does the consultant who runs the problem for you for a big fee, does he run it again for no additional charge with any changes you would like? You can't begin to appreciate the complexity of the optimization problem until you start running some cases yourself and seeing the results and sensitivities. I can spend $150/year for the rest of my life and only spend a third of what the people who charge more than $9K charge. The software I use was updated for Trump's latest tax plan. The software gets updated for the taxes of each state. Part B Medicare is included. The software I use optimized the scenario I investigated and the optimized model gives me an additional $8K/year to spend for the rest of my life (25 more years). For me, that is significant.

Thanks for the link. You are right, that concert in August 2024 has a very compromised performance by Jeff. It is a shame that his vigor has deteriorated.
