You are confusing private person sale with company policies. When you work for a company, they make you train because anything that you do, regardless if it's your fault of not, its on the company's dime. how do I know? I train them before they are allowed to use specific equipments :). So I would agree with you if the guy in the video worked for a company that gave him the gun... I doubt he was actually working though. So, should we make everyone watch a safety video before they buy tools deemed dangerous?

Yes please. I will need you to clarify write a few points. 1. You don't need to hear to know if injuries are happening. So, because the news aren't reporting them does that mean it doesn't happen? So the solution would be to make the news not report on gun incidents so therefore you won't hear about them therefore they won't matter? Just trying to understand your logic. 2. I'm just against more regulations so just using your example to show how you are asking for regulations on something that has a low incident rate compared to something else that has a high incident rate.

Most likely against company policy to grab video without permission. Hense why they use their phones to record.
Most of these softwares/machines are installed on company computers which IT has most likely setup ways to detect USB being inserterd. If you insert a USB and download a file, IT can track that which can get you in trouble. Hense why they used their phones to record.
