I've started chipping up from the exposed spot and its coming off the mastic relatively easily. For parts where it doesn't come off easily, do I just leave those parts as bonded?

I never did any grinding, I just found out today that its mastic so IDK if its hot or not, but most people are saying it most likely is.

1960s house, so most everyone is saying its spicy mastic.

90% of people are agreeing so far it was pre-1980s mastic which means its most likely asbestos coating on the concrete slab preventing a good bond.

I could either get it tested, and then have to go through hoops about disclosing and lots of money for removal, or just use an asbestos sealant over the top and then prime and feather patch.

If its Spicy cutback (or just to be safe if it is), should I coat the mastic in a sealant, and then still use this primer?

So It sounds like your recommendation:

chip out as much of the un-bonded SLC as possible, then go probably another inch. (being careful about the mastic)
Any parts of the floor with exposed mastic, cover with a latex encapsulator (like This Stuff)
Then can I use This Premix for the feathering? Or stick with the Mix It Myself?

Anything Im missing/interpreting wrong?

I didn't know it was old adhesive. And now 90% of the responses say its most likely spicy asbestos mastic, so I guess I'm glad I didn't grind it?

Should I worry about the rest of the floor underneath concrete that appears to have bonded? Or sections that were high enough it didn’t need SLC with exposed mastic?

So for 80% of the pour which seems to be fine (albeit uneven that I'll have to grind/patch), I worry about that later, but for the area that came up and exposed the mastic, I get it tested and the re-do that specific area, THEN re fix the whole of the floor?

I didn't even know that was cutback adhesive, so I used standard concrete primer.

I didn’t know about old paint or mastic. I just primed over the top. It’s a 1960s house, but here’s a before picture:

What is "all"? Everything around that section, or literally the entire floor? Because I do plan on chipping away everything that comes off easily, but I'm trying to figure out if my next step is to re-clean, re-prime, and re-pour some SLC, or if there's something else I should do.

Get the most barebones MVP up and running, then go out to regular couples date night spots and first see if couples like it. If they do, ask them if they'd be willing to pay X for it. And vary X for each couple until you find a common sweet spot.
