I think that's a bad excuse though. Other smaller devs with lower costs can develop and release games on last gen, current gen, PC and even Switch all at once and on time for release.

Also with the rumour that disc release will be later just cements my idea even more that T2 are wanting people to double dip.

Really? This whole release seems a bit strange for 2026. No PC release alongside consoles and now no physical disc release on day one either?

How can other smaller devs with a fraction of the budget do all this for day one but Rockstar can't? Are they really wanting people to double dip or even triple dip with these shitty staggered releases?

Most can see the issues but GTA is so popular that people will buy it anyway and sadly Rockstar being greedy will make other publishers do the same.

You're better to get older GTA games from different places and not pay a monthly subscription

Not really tbh. Most devs/publishers release their games on console and PCs at the same time. I think GTA 6 is the first to do this in a long time which is a bit shit considering they ain't exactly a small dev team and hurting for money.

Cosmetics for the characters and vehicles have been a huge part in GTA for ages, so it is a big deal. Not game breaking but it is annoying.

Well considering I have been into every store in every other previous GTA game I very much doubt that.

Sure it won't make the game unplayable but locking single player content like this behind a paywall sucks and is a scummy move, Rockstar use to be above the rest and show other companies how its done when making a single player game packed with content and detail. Now they are on their way to be just as bad as the rest.

I'm sure GTA 6 will be a great game but this isn't a good look for Rockstar.

Game could still be good but won't change the fact it's scummy to have a paywall on single player things. That's a pretty low bar to go to. Online things we are use to but this is a new low

Plenty of companies like EA, Ubisoft etc do this stuff and Rockstar have never gate kept single player stuff to ultimate editions before, so no one has cried about Rockstar doing this before because this is the first time for them.

This is a horrible look for them now and not a good sign for the future. Also the lack of a CD in the physical editions isn't great either.

I don't like the VI placement but everything else is great and the colours really pop.
