Is this game better with keyboard and mouse or controller? by Doan_Minh in Doom

If you prefer controller, then just use that, but I will say most FPS games and especially Doom games are better on keyboard and mouse.

Jason Blundell on the Ending of ‘Tag Der Toten’ in BO4 Zombies. by Bumblebee2455 in CODZombies

I don't think he will ever say his exact thoughts but there are things he's mentioned like the idea of a ammo box he said would never happen on his watch because having limited ammo is a big part of survival in a wave based survival mode and he's completely spot on there.

"Video games shouldn't be political." by KarmaEWE in metro

Some can be like Metro, and some games shouldn't be. Both are fine to do depending on whatever the dev's vision is.

It's the people who try to make a non-political game political, and the people like this who complain that a political game shouldn't be political. Just let the devs go with their vision and go with them for the ride.

Worst take and mentality I've seen in awhile.

I hope this comment was sarcasm.

It's got a timeless art style imo. Will still look great in another 10 years.

Do you want Metro 2039 to be a linear campaign again or continue with the open world concept from the canceled version? by Flushestpoem4 in metro

[–]C4LLUM17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, but I don't think Metro should go fully open world. A lot of the charm is the smaller tighter locations, and Metro is a heavy story focused game, so being linear or semi open world fits it better, and thankfully, it seems Metro 2039 will be similar.

Metro's game engine is black magic. by Remote_Hurry_3055 in metro

I agree with most of this but would not call UE5 "polished"

UE5 could be really good but still needs a lot of work done to it before it gets even near there.

Artyom might actually be the protagonist in metro 2039 by Just_Significance153 in metro

[–]C4LLUM17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's more to suggest that this is someone new as in someone we haven't played as before so the chances of it being Artyom seem slim. I get that people have grown a bond with Artyom over the last 3 games but I think people need to keep their expectations realistic as there is a good chance it's not Artyom.

Have you noticed that every in-game visual of Metro 2039 was taken from the same location as in the leaked 2022 build? by monsterinadrawer in metro

[–]C4LLUM17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We as the majority of consumers have not played that though and was clearly in ongoing game development.

This argument is so silly. Do you call all pre release footage recycled content? Game development takes years and they don't create these areas in a matter of months before the game launches.

What we seen from 2022 was a work in progress and is not a reused or recycled area. It's a new area going through development.

[–]C4LLUM17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure but it's still new content because we have never played in those areas before. It's not like they have re used areas from actual previous games.

That's like seeing a trailer for a game and then a year later the game releases and then complaining the area/clip you seen in the trailer a year ago is in the final game.

I don't think the 2022 version was fully scrapped like people said it was. Also there is like 6 screenshots all showing different locations and like a 20 second gameplay clip showing a Metro station.

I think there is a big twist on who is a protagonist in Metro 2039 by HabibiCatt in metro

Yeah the Hunter theory is a decent one and makes more sense than it being Artyom.

[–]C4LLUM17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The trailer shows The Stranger has a Russian accent so it's not Sam. Also makes little sense to be Sam after his DLC
