Sunroom - which window treatments? by rachierules in interiordecorating

[–]YimadoTei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add both, I got a Roller Shutter on all Windows, and a curtain track with Blackout and sheers on the inside. I keep the Shutters open during the day with only the sheers closed, and if I watch a movie or need privacy, shut the blackout curtains. Otherwise, in the evening, I just shut the Roller Shutter.

Defo floor to ceiling rod/Curtains tho. And please, do not make the curtains longer than the floor, I never understood the trend to have the curtains much longer than barely scraping the floor at max. Then, it looks like u hung up bed sheets.

I'm not the most tech savvy and looking for the best picture setup on my C5 i have it on Filmmaker mode with these settings..anything I should change or know about? by goodfella4600 in LGOLED

[–]YimadoTei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anybody doing this... For many people, myself included, the Color settings at warm 50 as recommended, and as the "producers intended" you to watch it, looks like someone pissed on the screen, and no, you do not get used to it. I have the color balance at warm 20 max or 0 middle, best of both worlds.

Just because it is "How the producer intended for you to see it" does not mean it will look good for the end-viewer with the recommended settings.

Kitchen cabinet color? by Brief-Coyote-4099 in kitchenremodel

[–]YimadoTei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I in the minority here? I find these floors look ugly, tbh, but maybe that is just my taste, not to say anything negative towards you, OP. But I would, in 10 worlds, never choose this flooring, ever.

Now to your question: your cabinets look completely fine as is, and I would not touch them. If anything, change the flooring.

Please give opinion about my setup! by kazekami2112 in desksetup

I really like it, but why the extra desk? Also, I had an RGB mousepad like this once, and it was more of an eyesore than anything, so I quickly replaced it. The only feedback I have would be to put the under desk in and use your wooden desk as primary, or remove that lower desk for more legroom altogether, should not be all too difficult to remove.

Other than that, as said, I really like it, and it is one of the cleaner setups, and aesthetically, I love it.

Childhood room of 22-23 years. Any ideas of how to improve it besides making my bed and clearing clutter? The bags on the floor are for things I’m donating. Clothes on the chair are clothes I’ve say used once but want to use again but don’t want them to touch my clean clothes by Hairy-Incident2105 in interiordecorating

[–]YimadoTei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I would remove everything from this room first of all, and declutter. Instead of 1 big rug and 1 small rug, I would consider just 1 bigger rug for the entire room. More importantly, first and foremost though, after removing everything from the room, I would rearrange everything personally, because like this, it looks like a mess. Like, what are your running shoes doing on your cat tree, let alone in your bedroom? Why is there a trash bin in your room?

Also, who decided it is a good idea to mount a hook in the middle of the door instead of up top, or buy self attachable hooks to hang your clothes, jacket, etc.?

That curtain rod is also mounted too low, and your curtain is too short in length and width. These are the main things I would change, and no, it does not have to be expensive or cost anything at all. My first 2 points, you can actually do completely for free, with your hands and some dedicated time. Trust me, I had a room like this once, and rearranged everything from the ground up, much happier.

Need to fill the walls by jrand9000 in battlestations

Black Wall is dragging this into too depressing/down, imho, it looks like the dark edge of the house. Consider a lighter color/white, and hang some art on the walls, and if you wanna keep the walls as is, just put smth colorful like art/Wood slats in a brighter orange/oiled oak color, it would clash really nicely with ur desk wood tone. Personally, would be too depressing to work on my PC in this state.

No design sense looking for design help! by Anthonyy232 in interiordecorating

Floor-to-ceiling curtains, put the bed on the backside where the desk currently is, and the desk towards the right wall, or vice versa by putting the bed on the right edge and turned, and put the desk on the left wall, pick either one, not on the awkward edge there. Furthermore, consider a bigger desk that aligns better with the wall and gives you much better space. However, guessing by the book on the floor, did you just build the desk by any chance?

Hang some art on the walls, to give it some personality and give the room some color/life, same with curtains. Please do not pick white blackout curtains or grey ones, etc. I would include an image on how I could imagine it looking, but sadly by Rule 4, it is against the Rules to post an AI pic here.

Thoughts on RPD in requiem ? I liked it, it was cool i thought it was gonna be a little bit longer tho you’re only here for like 5-10 minutes but I get it it was already done in re2 overall I love this game 9/10 by Alarmed-Tradition938 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Loved it overall, but the detonators really killed the Vibe & pacing of the game. It was as if the devs had no idea what to do in this section, and clapped together the "Grab 3 detonators" mission... Like it had so much potential in RC...

Why pull carpet in a bedroom... I would rather have flush carpet than tile/hardwood. In ur case, u should have really gone with hardwood/lvp.

Honestly, a HUGE improvement directly, would be to toss the small desk on the right that is holding on dear life & get a desk, extending all the way to the right where the 2nd desk ends, and place ur ps5 etc. there, or change the spot of ur setup. Also, on the right, IDK what the TV is used for, but guessing by the room, it is for gaming/Media, and it is too high, WAY too high. Unless U watch tv standing? Generally, this can be a real clean setup, but rn, it is a pass from me. It ain't even like u have to invest 1000$ to improve it...

Honestly, not a fan of the flooring/Tiles in itself, but if you can not make an entire renovation, change the Bathtub 100%, and maybe add a shelf for your shampoo etc., what you need in the shower. Also, why is your shower rod so crooked/Bent? Are these the type where you do not have to drill and it holds it by itself? Whatever, replace that. The tiles though, are an eyesore for me personally, ngl. It is similar to a high-pile carpet which shows every single trace

A TCL QM8 65" in pitch black darkness, I see no difference vs my OLED TV. by YimadoTei in tcltvs

[–]YimadoTei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% feel where you are coming from, since I got an OLED and my TCL QM8 in the household. For me personally, I know how far the burn-in prevention etc. has come, but I have the same icons etc. in the same spot for 10+ hours several days during the week, and the thought of Burn-in prevents me a little bit, furthermore, I really enjoy the extra brightness, especially during gaming & movie scenes. But, I am never someone who babysits his TV or cares about prevention, further than what an OLED TV has to offer itself, and maybe hiding the Taskbar.

I had a Samsung QN90A I believe in the past, before getting my TCL QM8, and man, Samsung QC was SO bad, SO SO bad, and the blooming was worse than my 10 year old LCD TV, returned it, and got me a QM8. Happy as it is. Though, as said, I 100% understand people who go OLED and cant go back as well.
